Chapter 5

Luke's POV

"Luna, where are you?"

Nearing midnight, I woke up from my sleep. I quickly looked toward the bed beside my body. However, I only found myself alone on the bed.

"Where is Luna?" I asked myself because I did not find Luna's presence in our room.

Quickly, I got up and got out of bed. I searched for Rebecca's whereabouts all over the room, without missing a single corner. However, I couldn't find my wife's whereabouts anywhere.

"Oh no! Where are you, Rebecca?"

Suddenly, a sense of worry came over my heart. My mind began to drift everywhere, thinking of every bad thing that could happen to my lunatic. Especially as the night was getting late like this.

"This can't be allowed!"

Without wasting any more time, I quickly walked out of the room. My steps were so fast that I walked through every part of this palace of mine. Around the palace, I found several servants who were still busy walking around finishing their work.

"Good evening, Alpha," they all greeted as they bowed to me respectfully.

"Good evening too. Have any of you seen Luna?" I immediately asked all of them.

I couldn't hide the look of anxiety on my face anymore, and I hoped that any of the servants had seen my Luna.

"Sorry, Alpha, but we didn't see Luna. She's probably resting in her room," one of the servants replied with a timid look on his face.

"Do you think I'm stupid, huh? If Luna was in the room, then I wouldn't be frantically looking for her like this!" I started to get angry.

Because their question was a stupid question that shouldn't be directed at an alpha like me.

"Forgive us, Alpha." The servants immediately lowered their faces.

However, I didn't care about them at all. I quickly walked out of the room, and down the front room which was the Elder's room.

When I got there, I saw that the door to the Elder's room wasn't completely closed. Since I already regarded the Elders as my parents, then I immediately walked into the room to confer with them.

"Jack!" I called Jack while opening the door of the room.

The few Elders who were there looked very surprised when they saw my arrival. Especially Jack who immediately rushed to me, but somehow his face looked pale.

"Yes, Alpha. How come you're here?" asked Jack, his voice sounding nervous.

"Yes. I looked for Luna's whereabouts. She's not in the room, even though it's very late at night like this. Have any of you seen her?" I asked as I looked at the Elders.

"We didn't see Luna, Alpha." They all shook their heads quickly.

"Oh my god! Where's Luna?" I was close to frustration, causing me to rudely adjust my hair.

"In that case, all of you please help me find Luna! Oh yeah, order the entire werewolf army to search for my wife's whereabouts!" I ordered the Elders.

"Yes, Alpha." Jack nodded.

"Let's hurry!"

Together with the elders, I went to search the entire pack area for Rebecca's whereabouts. While the others went to give orders to my troops to search for Rebecca's whereabouts.

I was really confused because Rebecca had disappeared. We had searched all over the place, but there was still no sign of my wife in the Winterblood pack.

"What if something bad happens to Rebecca out there?" I was suddenly anxious at the thought.

"What if there's an evil Rogue or werewolf after her? Oh no! I need to find her before any of that happens!"

Not wanting to waste any more time, I went back to look for Rebecca everywhere. However, the results were still in vain. I frantically searched for Luna's whereabouts, but I couldn't find her anywhere.

"Where are you, Rebecca? Please come back and don't make me anxious like this!" I sobbed as I began to shed tears unconsciously.

I walked unsteadily to the garden in front of the pack, right next to the pond where I used to see Rebecca sitting.

I slowly sat down on the park bench. My mind drifted, remembering the moments when Rebecca often tried to talk to me.

"I'm sorry, Rebecca. I've always ignored you because I was too busy. I didn't even accompany you to breakfast and let you have breakfast alone. I also didn't listen to your stories, when you wanted to tell me something. I was too cold towards you, and maybe you thought that I never loved you," I said softly, with my chest already feeling tight.

"I missed seeing you sitting here because I've been secretly watching you from a distance. I've often watched you while you were practicing with your friends. I have lost you, Rebecca. I feel that I've started to love you. And that's the reason why I chose you to be my Luna."

I lowered my face, feeling the pain that hit my chest so hard. I already didn't care if any werewolf saw their alpha crying, because the loss of my Luna was too great.

"Alpha, there you are!"

The voice startled me and I quickly looked up. I was so surprised to see the doctor from our pack walking towards me in a hurry.

"Doctor Mike, what are you doing here?" I was startled and stood up to look at him.

"Sorry, Alpha, but I heard that Luna isn't in the pack. Is that true?" Doctor Mike asked me.

"Yes, it's true. Rebecca disappeared somewhere because when I woke up, she was no longer by my side. I've been trying to find her everywhere, but Luna is nowhere to be found. I'm worried that something bad might happen to her out there."

"Really? That's what I'm thinking too. Especially now that Luna is pregnant. I'm worried that someone or something bad could hurt Luna or her pregnancy." Doctor Mike looked agitated.

"What? Luna is pregnant?" I immediately raised my face and looked at Dr. Mike in surprise.
