Chapter 30

I whirled around and took off running. However, no matter how fast I ran as a human, I could never outrun a wolf. And a big, aggressive male Wolf at that. The Wolf was on me in less than 100 yards. His eyes were wild and ferocious, pinning me to the ground as his big jaw snapped at me. I suddenly realized that I was actually gazing at a Wolf and not a werewolf.

"Stop on her. Rafa yelled, running up to us but failing to get the Wolf off of me. "Get the fuck off her!" The Wolf was the same size as a werewolf, but I couldn't tell because of his darker, savage eyes or lack of humanity. I suddenly realized that one of the Yellowstone Wolves was standing on top of me. My thoughts kept returning to Levi's words: "He went full Wolf, he lost his humanity."

Before I offered my neck to the Wolf, he barked at me. Rafa inhaled as I submitted in the most instinctual of ways to the Wolf, knowing that he could kill me before I even realized it. I hoped and prayed that it would be enough to settle the
