Chapter Nineteen: A Slight Problem Arrives....Or Is It Help?

After spending a few days planning and gathering things with Amadaus and Motus, Atzi finally was able to step away to get a bit of alone time to get her thoughts together.

Never had she thought that she'd be in a situation like this. To her it all seemed like something in one of her fantasy books she read everyday. One that she often wished she could escape to in order to switch up her mundane life.

As she wanders a bit into the nearby woods, she heard a twig lightly snap. Her pointed ears flicked in the noioses direction yet she kept her face forward as she slowed her pace. Her coal black nose sniffed...

"Someone is close.." she thought to herself. Atzi stops and looks around. Her misty grey and black fur bristled, her two toned eyes..one icy blue and one gold scanned around til she saw something that did not match the landscape.....a patch of white fur.

With a snarl Atzi lunged at the white furred creature and tackled it down with a loud howl. The distant howl alerted Motus and the enforcers back at the main camp. Their barks and howls responded and seemed to draw closer.

Atzi tumbled downhill with the white furred creature that was biting and clawing back viciously. Atzi bit down on its tail and swayed her head aside yanking it hard. The creature yelped and was drug aside til Atzi released it making it slam into a near by tree.

The creature stood up huffing.. it was another female wolf..solid white fur tinged pink now from the blood.

Motus got there first to see the white she wolf tackling Atzi down.

"SERAPHYNA!!" Motus thought to himself. Atzi barked and pounced the female down again. As she lowers to growl the female whispers.

"Wait..i am here to help Amadaus...i'm a ally. But we can't talk here...Damon sent scouts....they are near the creek you were heading towards...we need a private place to talk."

Atzi looked and nooded. "Follow me and quickly.." she told the female and they both jetted towards the camp. Motus high tailed it after them but was confused at the same time.

"Why is she leading the attacker towards home??" He thought to himself. But he trusted his mates judgement and just followed suit. Atzi led them into a nearby building that had a meeting room. Once they entered it and was out of sight, the female shifted in to her human form.

"It is me, Seraphyna....Motus." She nods in acknowledgement to Motus who sat near Atzi. Seraphyna was a bit blood covered from the scrap she had with Atzi. She did have to admit that Atzi had strength..no one hadd ever gotten a chance to injure her as she did. Seraphyna was impressed.

"What are you doing here Seraphyna?" Motus asked with a scowl on his face. He clearly was not happy that Seraphyna was there. Seraphyna sat in the wooden chair near her then spoke.

"I'm here for Amadaus..." Just as she spoke Amadaus stepped into the room and hugged Seraphyna tightly. Everyone looked confused at this display.

"We can explain everything. Now, as you know Damon only believes what he sees. So how you see us in his territory is not the real us. Amadaus and I are closer then we show...we are mates. But to everyone else we are enemies that hate each other. Damon believes that we both chose to remain unmated to serve him. So we have to put up a fake facade to remain in his good standings."

Seraphyna spoke as Motus and Atzi listened to her spreak. Amadaus remained at his mate's side and then spoke his part.

"Motus..everything so far was planned....all except the curse and the fight Damon forced you to have with Atzi. Since the challenge day we faced, I grew to see how evil Damon was turning and wanted to stop him. I am powerful enough to do so, but i do not seek the Alpha title it will bring once Damon is taken care of. So..we all chose you to be the one."

Motus sat with a surprised look on his face. His ears were back a bit in disbelief.

"....all this time..i thought i was hated..but it was a lie? Just to prepare me for the Alpha of All title..?" His voice was a bit shakey but it was clear he was upset over what he just learned.

Atzi nosed into his fur to comforrt him. She nuzzled him then looks to Amadaus and Seraphyna.

"How did you know to come here now Seraphyna?" Atzi asked after a few minutes of silence amoungst them.

"I was around Damon when they realized Amadaus was gone from the castle. They sent scouts to watch this place. I offered Damon my services to monitor the scouts he sent and he agreed. Also..Amadaus, Damon made the move. He's opening up more to me and will soon be vulnerable."

Amadaus nods and looks to Motus. "Our time table has been moved up...soon we will need to head back. As far as we know Damon believes Atzi to be dead, so we have to keep her outta sight til it's her chance to attack. It's our only advantage right now, we need to keep it that way."

Motus and Atzi agree. Amadaus hugs his mate a last time before he suggested that they leave for now to avoid suspicions. They all nod in agreement.

The three leave Seraphyna in to room til she can slip away to meet up with the scouts.
