Chapter Three: A New Home?

Groggy minded and woozy, Motus stirred awake slowly. He shuffled up trying to stand but fell back down. His paws felt cold steel under them as the blankets moved around. Instantly his eyes flew wide open. "W...where am I? Ugh my arm is hurting and I feel so droopy...wait..why..am I still a husky?"

He looked at himself to see he was still a husky. Motus also noticed he was in a kennel. "Maybe if I call out, someone will hear me and help me out." "HEY! LEMME OUTTA HERE!! I NEED TO GET HOOOOME!!"

Soon a young girl appeared in front of the kennel. She just kept staring at me while I talked. "Look lady, I'm not a dog..I am…" But all she did was smile and walk off. Was she deaf?

Motus couldn't tell very much about what she was going to do. He laid back down and huffed aloud. He was not pleased with his current situation. Motus made it known by complaining about firstly..the food bowls. "Firstly...lady. I don't appreciate the food, I don't eat dry kibble. I prefer fresh…"

The lady appeared and smiled and said ; "Awww poor boy. What is it? Why are you so noisy today? Do you need to go to use the bathroom? Here I'll grab a leash and I'll take you out."

Apparently the woman only heard husky howls and grumbles while Motus heard his own voice. Figuring this out made the Alpha more grumpy then he was at first. He laid there awaiting her return when she came back with a leash.

She opened his kennel and helped him stand up to walk. Being fully awake, his healing abilities started But were still slow. So he could walk lightly but with a small limp. The girl slowly led him to her high fenced back yard and let him wander. " ooh noo, you're not seriously thinking I'm about to.."

Motus stops realizing all she could hear was howls and grumbles. He just sat there with an offended look on his face. She tugged his leash trying to coax him to go but after 10 minutes of him remaining still she gave up. As the girl led Motus inside, he wondered about her name. She let him wander her home as she disappeared into an office-like room.

He followed her and stood on the side of her desk. He saw a paper with a name: "Atzi..so that's your name." "No..get down..off now. No doggos on desks." She gently pushed him off and petted his ears again.

Motus gave an annoyed murr and sat by the desk. Atzi picked up the phone and made a few calls. Each one she inquired about the husky she found but no one she called had claimed him nor had information on him.

After hours of calls she made the choice to keep him. "Well, since you're my new pet now, we need a name for you...hmm..let's see…"
