Motus was a tad worried at the sudden arrival of both Seraphyna and Amadaus. He was completely convinced that these two were on his side. otus wandered the nearby woods pondering on how to accept these new allies.
His thoughts raced around his head when his ears caught faint mumblings close by. He instinctively lowers and crawls towards the noise. Luckily the wind was in his face so his scent was not going towards whoever this was.Just over the hill he was on, he saw the four scouts he remebered Seraphyna mentioned....amongst them..WAS SERAPHYNA!!! He couldn't hear what she was telling them. He grew anxious and angered at the same time. He knew how conivinning she was back at Damon;s castle. He was just about to run when a scout looked up and spotted him. Seraphyna looked and saw the four chase after Motus. Motus turned and ran fast, deeper into the woods leaading them away from his camp."IT'S MOTUS!! CATCH HIM BEFORE HE GIVES US AWAY!!!" One of the scouts yelled as they were on Motus' heels. Their barks and snarls sounded in the silent woods as dusk fell upon then.Branches broke underfoot, brush and leaves rustled and shook as they sprinted through them. He lead them in to a ravine that was made of reddish rock. Dust kicked up from the feet of the scouts and from Motus as they still ran.HE came to a cliff edge and turned to face the four that chased him. He snarled and leapt at them, fangs gnashing at the nearest ones. Each scout yapped and pounced as Motus flung each attempt off. HE tried to stay away from the edge as there was a rushing and deep river down below. The dusty reddish scout lunged at Motus and tore at his ribs. Motus yelped and clamped his jaws onto that wolves' neck, shaking it violently and steadily. As he was doing this, a mud brown scout tackled him down and the twin ash grey scouts joined in the tackling.Motus rolled from this, bloody mawed. He rolled and fell over the cliff egde, clawing the edge to hang on from dropping into the roaring waters below. The red scout was about to knock him in when a female yelled to stop.Seraphyna appears and gives Motus a icy glare as she got closer. The scouts backed off as she stood right in front of Motus. Motus was struggling to keep a grip on the ledge and looked up at Seraphyna. Her eyes gave him a confused look. Just as he met her gaze, she kicked his face. THe kick knocked him over the edge and he fell into the waters below. The scouts looked at Seraphyna as she still looked at the water below. "Tell Damion that Motus...He's no longer a problem." The scouts nodded and took off. What they didnt see was her eyes welling up with tears because she had to do a terrible thing.Back at the camp, Atzi jolted awake and howled. Amadaus and the others ran to her den as Atzi looked at them in rage. She saw Amadaus and pounced him down snarling and growling at him."WHY?!!>>SHE KILLED HIM!! SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING!! SHE LIED! YOU LIED!!" She yelled as she raked her claws over Amadaus. HE fended her off and looked at her in confusion til it dawned on him what Atzi's words meant. He sighed and held the gashes that Atzi gave him."I...I'm sorry...she didn't have a choice.."But Atzi didn't wanna hear what he was saying. She couldn't feel Motus' prescence anymore. She was fighting a pain inside her now. She looked at Amadaus and growled at him one single word."RUN..."Leaves rustling as the wind rushes past. Brambles crunch, snow flies around and twigs snap underfoot. Howls and barks echo in the chilly night as the full moon lights the darkened trees."CATCH HIM! HE MUST NOT GET AWAY OR DAMON WILL HAVE OUR HEADS!" A gruff voice growled as the group ran through the woods. The guards of the DarkClaw clan were giving chase once again. This was almost a nightly thing between them and their target.Amadaus, the head of the guards, led the group onwards. He had grown to despise these hunts yet they also drove him to continue the thrill of hunting. The large gray wolf snarled once again: "DAMON NEEDS MOTUS ALIVE...FOR NOW. CATCH HIM!"Ahead of the group, almost a few meters away was Motus. He ran in his black and white husky form; laughing away at their attempt to catch him. "You'll never get your filthy paws on me! Hahaha we've done this hunt every night and you've had no luck! Just give up already!"Motus
"Bye guys! Thanks again. I had a blast tonight. I'll see you all tomorrow at lunch." A female voice called out behind her as she walked out the house. The voice was of a girl named Atzi. She was oddly enough walking home that snowy night after her friends tried to convince her otherwise. Atzi insisted she walk home as she wanted to enjoy the snow. As she walked along the pathway road, she heard howls and barking yaps in the woods nearby."Wolves on the hunt it sounds like.." She thought to herself ; her memories of the zoology and animal training classes flooded her brain with the facts she learned about animals. The noises stopped for a while then continued on. Atzi still walked when she saw a bright light flash for a moment, followed by more yapping and branches snapping. "...a hunter maybe…? I think that was his later light."She let her curious nature take over and she headed up the slope towards where she saw the flashing
Groggy minded and woozy, Motus stirred awake slowly. He shuffled up trying to stand but fell back down. His paws felt cold steel under them as the blankets moved around. Instantly his eyes flew wide open. "W...where am I? Ugh my arm is hurting and I feel so droopy...wait..why..am I still a husky?"He looked at himself to see he was still a husky. Motus also noticed he was in a kennel. "Maybe if I call out, someone will hear me and help me out." "HEY! LEMME OUTTA HERE!! I NEED TO GET HOOOOME!!"Soon a young girl appeared in front of the kennel. She just kept staring at me while I talked. "Look lady, I'm not a dog..I am…" But all she did was smile and walk off.
After an unsuccessful day of calls to almost everyone in her whole town, Atzi sat and contemplated the Husky's new name. She was at a loss for words when it came to a good pet nameas he was her very first one to have. She eventually settled with the name Demon because of the mean look he was currently giving her from rattling off various names. Motus only gave a disgruntled grunting huff as her name choice. He still looked displeased at Demon but Atzi shrugged and stuck with that moniker as she thought it fit him best overall. As it was getting late into the evening, Atzi grabbed her coat and Demon's leash from off the wall hooks and turned to him as she spoke, leash in hand. "Alright..let's go on one last walk before bed. Come on boy." Atzi said as she led him out for a walk. Motus grumbled in a bothered way as he was not looking forward to this walk of humiliation. They ventured along the treeline when fir a good bit of time before Demon's head shot up and alert. She
Still running, Motus huffed and puffed the more he ran through the snow. His ears up and alert but he never heard the howls get closer as he got farther away from Atzi. He suddenly stops and thinks. After running for a good 10 minutes, Motus realized that they never followed him. "So, if I'm not the target...then who..is..?" Motus couldn't believe it. This was a first.Motus froze and realized they wanted Atzi, "But..why the human...why target her?... she's not that import-" Motus was confused at this and felt a strong pulling urgency to reach her. This felt new to Motus yet familiar at the same time. It scared him at first til he realized what it meant. He suddenly and high tailed it back towards where he left her. The howls and growls grew faint then louder and his drive to reach her grew stronger. He ran faster and more determined despite the dull pain in his healing leg that was throbbing like crazy. His current husky state slowed down his healing
After a few days of rest and relaxation, Atzi finally decided to try and figure out what happened to her that night. Demon was nearby on the floor near her desk. He lifted his head when he heard her voice. "What..was that..? I..don't understand…"She looks at the husky and for a second thought he was listening. She reached put and spoke to him as she petted his soft ears. "Oh Demon, what am I going to do?""Well first off my name's not Demon..though my enemies think I am a demon." His voice finally spoke aloud andAtzi jumped back surprised and ran into the other exam room.Motus followed and pawed at the door. 'Ahhh come ooon. I'm not that scary am I? We can now talk about it now Atzi. I'm surprised you can actually understand me."Atzi couldn't believe it, her dog was talking to her. "Dogs don't talk...d..do they?" She thought to herself. She waited a bit before coming out. Motus was sitting on the chair near her door.He hopped
The next day, Atzi and Motus got things together for the trip. Motus told her what they needed and Atzi packed it in a bag. Soon they were headed out. "So where do we go now Motus?" Atzi asked him as he sat in the backseat."First of ...all...i..am..not..a..pet.." He said each word as he climbed into the front seat. "...so I get to sit up front like a normal human being.." He nods his head with a matter of factly manner and chuffs."Secondly we are going to stop at Lake Destiny for a few days. You need to train."Atzi looked at him with a surprise in her eyes. "Train. ? Train for what..?" She asked as they drove down a wooded road. Motus smirked and looked at the passing trees. After a few hours' drive, they arrived at Lake Destiny. Motus yawned as he just awoke from a nap. Atzi opened his door and he got out. She gathered a few things and followed him to the water."We need to draw out that power you displayed. It's t
They reached the camp and Motus wanted to speak, but didn't know what to say. He felt bad for scaring her and wanted to make amends for his bad choice. He had grown to like her very much and didn't want to ruin any chances with her.Atzi pitched her tent and started a fire afterwards. She stared at the burning orange flames, the floating embers and listened to the cackling wood as it burned. The noises of the fire were all that filled that night's cool air. Motus settled near her but still gave her space. She found her earbuds in her bag and put them in her ears, linked them to her cellphone and began to listen to her music. After a few minutes, Atzi stood up and went towards the lake. Motus watched her and followed behind a bit, worried for her to be safe. Atzi began to jog around the lake as a way to think better. Her music picked up pace and so did her running pace. Her heart raced even more as she picked up speed. Her head lowered as s
