Six months gone

**THREE MONTHS LATER**

According to the doctor, my pregnancy was now twenty-four weeks old. That means the pup growing in my womb was now six months old.

It was starting to show through all my clothes, both the ones Slauson had been more than kind to get for me, the ones I managed to get through my wages in the restaurant.

I could no longer wear my apron, so I stuck to the dress that was made solely for my cause. With every week that passed, I grew less and less efficient at work. I began to tire out quickly and take far more urine breaks than every other worker.

Somedays, I had to return home at lunch break, which was six hours before every other worker was authorized to close for the day. I had since moved from the hotel, and was now able to secure a small bungalow close to the cafe. It was a walkable distance, but Slauson insisted on driving me to work and back home everyday.

I was a pregnant young girl who seldom needed excersise, who was I to say no?
