Chapter 92

"I want to be a grandma soon, while people can still say I look too young for it."

Cassandra interjected, flashing a smile at me, "Why not get married next month, Jasper?"

I was taken aback. I had been procrastinating in case Cassandra changed her mind. I wanted her to have the freedom to do so.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes," she replied.

That settled it. We would be getting married exactly a month from now. Alex and Kenny cheered loudly until my mother quieted them down.

As we gathered around the table, Mom pulled out a notebook and a pen and began writing a to-do list.

Our conversation revolved around the wedding venue when suddenly the doorbell interrupted us. I rushed to answer it, only to find my old friend David standing there.

"Hey! Perfect timing!" I exclaimed.

"You've forgotten all about me ever since you got engaged," David replied.
