Chapter 24- The Preparations

"Will do sir," Stacy said and left. 

Jake smiled, thinking about how well he was dealing with Dohana, but the moment he remembered he still had to take her to meet his mother later on, a frown eliminated his grin.

A few hours later that evening, Jake sent word for Dohana but he was infuriated when Stacy came back with a report.

"Sir, Dohana already knocked off, she said you can pick her up from home." Stacy sturdied Jake and saw the gloom on his face.

"Sir, what's your relationship with the Assistant Manager? Why would she be bold enough to expect you to fetch her from home?"

Jake snapped back to his senses, "Stacy, it's nothing. I gotta rush. Let's meet on Monday, okay." Jake sped out of the office headed to his car.&nb
