Chapter 9

It's been 2 weeks since I was given my blanket and I have barely left it behind while I was in the house. Look at me, a little girl carrying around her blanket. The guys have been busy, working all the time, it seems like that’s all that they do. It made sense but I've been stuck here bored out of my mind or annoying Ms. Charlotte. Silas also came by a few times to bring me out to spar. I would consider him a friend at this point but I did realize something. No matter how comfortable I was around someone, I couldn’t touch them on the shoulder, arm or hug them. Every time they reached to do so I had the instinct to hurt them. I think it was because I never embraced anyone before besides that one boyfriend that took advantage of it. But even then I associated touching with fighting. That was the only time anyone had skin contact with me.

I've only seen them during meal times but that was rare. Most days they were in meetings or out. They've been really stressed out about the Russians. I
