BLOOM

Ray stationed me at the punching bag for three days. When I asked him the reason on the second day, he said it was because he knew I still had pent-up anger that I needed to let out. “Blow off some steam,” was what he said, but doing the same thing repeatedly for three days in a row was enough to drive me crazy. I wanted something else. Something… fun.

Where was he even? Looking around the gym, I didn’t see Ray. I collapsed to the floor with a groan. “Luna Bloom?” I looked up to see Ray coming in with a silly grin and shining eyes. Was my pain amusing to him? “How’s that workout coming along? Did you stretch before you began?”

“Hmm. You call that workout?” I painstakingly pushed myself off the ground. My hands were sore and so was my heart. “All I’ve been doing is punishing that sandbag.”

Ray’s eyes sparkled with laughter. “Looks like someone’s still mad, so why don’t you channel that anger at the sandbag?”
