Chapter Eighteen

NIA'S POV.

As I walked with Elsa in the garden, I pointed out different types of flowers and told her their names. She was so interested and asked so many questions that it made me smile. It was refreshing to see someone so eager to learn and appreciate the beauty of nature.

"That's a beautiful rose," I said, pointing to a vibrant red one.

Elsa nodded, "Yes, it is. It's my favorite."

We stopped by a patch of purple tulips, and I crouched down to get a closer look before picking them. "These are my favorite flowers," I said.

"Why is that?" Elsa asked, crouching down next to me.

"I just love the color, and they always remind me of the coming of spring," I replied.

We walked around for a while, enjoying the fresh air and the calming atmosphere of the garden. Elsa was a great companion and we talked about everything and nothing. It was like we had known each other for years.

When it started getting dark, I suggested that we go back inside. But Elsa refused, saying that she didn't want to
