Chapter 65

Audrey’s POV

“Argghh!” I groaned in frustration when the lamp in my hands suddenly went off.

I felt my hands around the dark tent, and when I had finally gotten the match box I was looking for, I struck it only for it to go off again.

I nearly exploded with frustration.

A wild chilly wind suddenly made its way into the warm tent that had been built just for me; it ruffled my wild hair in such a way that sent strands of it into my eyes and mouth but I didn’t mind it.

I didn’t care s about a lot of things right now as long as it didn’t rain.

It came again, and this time it sent a shiver up my body and made my burn fire almost turn off at its strength; and for the first time since I started living alone in this cave, I feared for my safety.

I worried even more because I couldn’t help but feel like something terrible was about to happen.

I could definitely sense it but couldn’t quite explain it, and for a minute I thought about calling out to Kaden but then thought against it as this wasn
