EDWARD’S FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW

“We will discuss later when day breaks.” I said to Smart as I ushered him into one of the guest rooms. Thankfully, my domestic assistants had helped in cleaning the room before leaving. I returned to the living room to my mother.

“Mum? Why are you here? Are you not meant to be home resting with my father?” I asked her genuinely curious as I took a seat on the chair directly opposite hers.

“Nothing. Can I not come over here at will? Is that not the reason you gave me the spare keys to your house?” She said acting offended but I knew better than to be fooled by her act. She was usually that defensive anytime she wished to evade accountability for something but I was also ready for her.

“I have no problem with you coming here anytime you wish but we both know there is no way on earth you would be at my place on the night of the full moon instead of your quarters with your husband.” She reacted in a funny way when I mentioned her husband. Then, I knew
