Damian POV

Did she just shut the door on my face? I blinked back my surprise. I had spoken without thinking and I saw how hurt she looked before she closed the door.

I raised my hand to knock on the door again but paused. What exactly was I doing? I had come here due to how I felt when I saw her and Connor coming out from a room.

Although she looked more angry at him than happy, I still could not get this nagging feeling out of my mind. Whatever it was going on between them, I wanted it to end.

My wolf would not be able to handle it and would get jealous. I knew I was being a hypocrite for stopping her when I was having an affair with someone else but it was not the same thing.

I turned around to go to my room when I caught sight of Evelyn, Anne's maid. I remembered that Anne had complained about her before so I walked towards her.
