Chapter 24

Leah POV

I had a new goal in mind. I've been in this pack for almost two weeks, it was time I found something to do. But first I needed to perform a ritual to seal my wolf.

The subsequent rustling within me was not something I welcomed at the moment. It would put my life in danger and I did not want that.

Tonight was the night of a full moon. The perfect day for the ritual. I already had everything ready. The candle, water from the stream and my blood. It was dark magic and very risky for me, I knew but I had to do it.

The day was already far gone so I decided to leave my room. I had no maid again, thanks to Stephanie and had to do everything myself.

I left my room with no destination in mind and went out. I had thought to just go to the clinic but decided against it. I was not planning to work as a healer of any sort.

“Luna Anne,” I heard someone scream my name as I was about to open the door and I turned around. It was Evelyn.

She ran down the stairs in haste, going down
