Lighting

Carson's POV:

After a tough training session, everyone went to bed tired, but I couldn't sleep. I slipped out unnoticed and broke into a run to the forest where I shifted into my wolf form. The moon casted a silvery glow lighting up the path but the tall trees and shrubs dimmed its intensity for brightness. My wolf has been warning me that something bad was about to happen, maybe linked to the upcoming war. It didn't make sense, though, since everyone knew about the war. My wolf instincts kept tingling, making me wonder what could possibly be wrong.

Though I staged a convincing display for my siblings, aligning myself with their plan on how to handle Arnold, my distrust of him remained steadfast. Nothing could sway my conviction against placing trust in Arnold. All that talk about peace and breaking the cycle of violence was just a game. Letting himself get beaten up was an even bigger trick.
