Chapter 17

Creed refused to eat, drink or even look at me. It had been four days since I agreed to let the wolves take him. For four days I watched him stubbornly accept death and suffer in silence.

I sat on the porch outside the packhouse. I couldn't take the tension between me and Creed anymore. The weather was changing and it looked like there was a storm rolling with how thick grey clouds huddled together to cover up the Arizona sun. "Still nothing?" Hera asked sitting down next to me.

"He is stubborn," I said keeping my eyes fixed above at the sky. I've tried everything to get him to drink or eat except force-feeding him.

"The full moon is in two days, Eleanora. If he doesn't eat or drink I don't know what will happen to him when he shifts. It might kill him."
