CHAPTER 16

Driving around the streets, just the lights poles illuminating the city and silence making more noises than his thoughts, Diego tried to think straight. Where they could be? Diego had already visited around four or five restaurants and there was no signal of them.

Hitting the steering wheel, a couple of restaurants came to his mind. Ace loved those restaurants and he had gone there a thousands of times with other thousands of girls. Ace had to be there with Cameron. And Cameron wasn’t like any other woman he’d ever met.

Arriving to the second restaurant Diego realized this one had more people than any other he had gone to that night. Looking for them, he walked through the fancy tables.

“I feel sleepy,” Cameron said, yawning for the fourth time after having drunk barely three glasses of wine.

Ace giggled, caressing her smooth skin. “You don’t know how to drink, do you?”

Almost closing her eyes, Cameron had the strength to look up and meet Ace’s gaze.
