That wedding was not the typical celebration where the protagonists danced to exhaustion. That wedding was not the typical celebration where the guests could smell the love of the newlyweds a mile away because the truth was that it had not been a typical wedding and much less would it be a typical marriage full of love. As soon as Cameron was taken out of the wedding by her grandfather's men after he found out she had danced with someone who was not her husband, Cameron arrived at the hotel where they were supposed to make people believe they would spend their first wedding night.The road had only served to fill her with courage against what was in front of her. Sitting on his leather couch, in front of him the central glass table with a glass of wine upon this one, Diego had his sight lost into the darkness of his soul. That was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, but now he was there, sitting on his favorite couch, waiting for death to have mercy on him and take him with it. The sleeves of his white shirt held up, the veins of his hands and neck were clearly shown and his mind was full of memories he couldn’t let just pass by. Now he was married to some woman who one day sent her documents with one of his men and declared she was healthy to carry his baby. But nothing could come for free. She’d give him that baby he needed and he’d give her the money her family needed to save their name. Neither that woman, who was his wife now nor his grandfather cared about the pain that was still in his heart. He had lost the love of her life, and no one cared about him. And suddenly, her delicate body jumped as if it were an involuntary movement. Little by little, second by second, feeling herself waking up in the new day, feeling that this was not her place although it was indeed her new home, her little big eyes were opening second by second. Moments from the night before began to come to her mind. Even she could not recognize the place at first glance because that ceiling, those decorations on the walls, those paintings and everything that made that room to be, had no room in her mind to be compared. The truth is that she felt like a guest, a woman who had slept in someone else's house just for one night. Without feeling the time pass, after rubbing her eyes for a brief moment, Cameron sat up in bed as she leaned back against the headboard. It was then that she realized that her dress, the same one she had worn the night before, was on the floor. That way, she finally managed to remember everything from that night. She had slept so soundly that

Those dreams, those illusions that she once had, those dreams with which she went to bed every night for every time she felt she was getting closer to her goal, today were nothing more than pieces of a life that never saw the light, that simply remained wanting to be just that, a life. The life that was no longer hers because it now belonged to the people who had married her to the man who had hurt her at that moment. There was nothing left, nothing left of that life that she had begun to build and that only remained in plans.From her beautiful eyes, tears came out the moment she understood who she was. Wiping her tears roughly, tired of the fact that in only two days he had passed over her as he passed over any of the rugs in that house full of luxuries, she went after him. She had to listen to him, she had to make things clear because she was also a human being, a person who needed to be treated as such. There were rules in that house, she wasn't going to fight against that because in the end, Diego was right, their marriage was just a damn contract that she signed without her having the time to ask questions because for her grandfather, she had been nothing more than a damn object, a damn tool that he could handle at his whim and obviously, at his convenience."Diego, Diego," Cameron called after him.And he, without stopping, continued to the room they had to share whether he wanted to or not."Diego," Cameron continued calling.And without the slightest attention, Diego stopped more to think about where he had left his marriage papers than for her."What do you want, Cameron?" Cameron, not being able to bear that feeling of loneliness and humiliation she fell on her knees while tears came out of her eyes. Hugging the dress and leaning her back on the closet door Cameron cried out her pain. Now she was a little bird prisoner of her own misery.Mad as hell Diego arrived at his office. He couldn’t take away the image of Bastian walking downstairs. What the hell was he doing with his wife? Why did she call him?
