CHAPTER 21

Walking through the lonely streets of the city, Cameron couldn’t stop crying with some of her belongings between her hands. All she had in mind was the idea he treated her, the way he kicked her out of his house and the last words he said.

‘A prostitute.’ He had called her a prostitute just because she slept in the apartment of another person who offered her the protection she needed that night?

No one could know how much long she had been walking by. Not even her.

Her empty stomach demanding something to have to digest, her headache making the front cloudy. She’d walked for so long that Cameron was out of the busy city of the business men where whoever she’d asked to if they know Diego, they’d answer with a smile on their faces while nodding.

Now, just poor streets with people who walked back and forth, some of them with their children, other ones taking care of their little business and some more working on anything that could pay for the meals of that day.
