CHAPTER 29

With her eyes still closed, Cameron heard Diego’s giggle. Slowly, she opened her eyes just to find Diego separating his lips from hers between a mocking laugh.

For an instant, Cameron felt stupid.

“What’s so funny?” Cameron asked.

“No matter what, buy you won’t change. No matter what you’ll still be just a damn table dancer!”

Those words hit Cameron hard.

“What?”

“Such a prostitute dreaming of kissing princes.”

Diego was never going to change. Not even in her best dreams Diego’d be a different person.

Denying with her head, clearly hurt, Cameron wiped away her tears with the back of her hand and walked off.

“Run! Run, Cameron! Run into Ace’s arms or the best bidder!”

Without knowing Diego had chosen his path. If no one in his past had made him regret his decisions, if no one in the past hadn’t had the guts to become his karma, Cameron would. Sonner or later, but she will.
