CHAPTER 26

With her eyes lost into nothingness, her mind full of memories and the words of that man who swore to come back just for her, Cameron had sat up on the bed. There were no words to say. There was no reality to trust. And that worried Bastian, who was looking through the window two meters away from Cameron’s bed, and Ace, who didn’t know what he had just heard.

“I looked for you, Cameron,” Bastian insisted, turning to face her. “I thought you could be her, I wanted to make sure of what my eyes were seeing every time I was with her. I didn’t know you had a twin sister, Cameron. I did not know it.”

“Why don’t you just shut the fuck up?” Ace raised his voice.

“Okay, man, I’m not talking to you. I’m talking to Cameron, my girlfriend, Okay?! So, if I bother you, why don’t you get the hell out of here?” Bastian said.

“Why don’t you come and-“
