The days passed peacefully at work. Matteo would look at me, but he wouldn't come near me, which was starting to bother me a little. We were adults and colleagues; a simple kiss couldn't harm the friendship we had already built. I saw him head to the kitchen area, and quickly followed him.

"Are you always going to ignore me?" I asked him. Matteo looked at me and shrugged.

"I thought you might feel uncomfortable after what happened," he said. I started laughing.

"It was just a kiss, relax," I told him. Matteo smiled and handed me a cup of coffee.

"Do you still want me to come with you this Saturday?" he asked. I nodded immediately; my mother would be eagerly awaiting him.

"Of course, I think if I go alone she'll kick me out," I joked.

"I'll come and bring Andrea, she won't stop talking about it," he said. I nodded and took a sip of coffee. On Saturday, my mother would be very happy to have them at home, and that would help her in her process.
