Ch. 50

When I came to I was back on campus in the commons. I was heading toward the dorms, music blasting in my ears as I scrolled through my phone. Nate's name popped up on the screen.

"Rooms busy for the next couple hours. Make yourself scarce please."

My hand was on the door of the main entrance when I read the text. I looked up from my phone seeing my reflection. I wasn't me, I was a young man in a blue baseball cap and jean jacket. I recognized his face, I was projecting into George.

George turned around, decided to head to the library. He seemed defeated knowing he couldn't arguing with Nate. He scrolled through his phone again, searching for a different song, when a chill went up his spine.

I wanted to start running, knowing what was probably about to happen, but I couldn't make him go. I couldn't force him to do anything; I could only watch and be in it. I need to warn him, how can I warn him?

I felt a sting in my chest at that moment. I looked down and there was nothing. George
