Ch. 55

Eryn had left me after I told him that I hoped we could all work. He didn't say anything to me, he just walked out. My heart broke a little when he left.

What I said was true, but if I had to pick I would choose my already mated mate. I don't want to lose Eryn, but I think I'd die without Charles.

I paced around the room unable to rest. I waited not so patiently for Charles to come back. I was trying to come up with the best way to tell him about Eryn, but how could I. All my attempts to explain it seemed faulty in my head.

I let out a heavy sigh as I admitted defeat and plopped in the armchair. I needed Charles to accept it all. The way he and Eryn were at each other's throats made the idea seem impossible.

I was chewing on my thumb nail when the door swung open. Charles' head pushed through, catching me.

"What's wrong?" He asked furrowing his brows into that V. I shook my head, still not sure how to tell him.

"I'm fine." His face called bullsh*t at my words.
