Damon's POV

Approximately 5 hours later, we were in the city. The gasp that still left Evie's mouth as she took her first step on the human world's soil was something I wouldn't forget that quickly in a role. To say she was astonished would be putting it mildly.

"Wow!" She said, pointing to a tower by the airport. She turned around and smiled at me. "Thank you so much for this." She said with a bow of her head.

I nodded at her to accept her thanksgiving, but I felt bad just watching her enthusiasm. If only she knew what I did or tried to do by bringing her with me, then she might hate me instead of feeling grateful. I mean, this was someone that I just wanted to see if I would be able to get into an elaborate trap that I set up with her. What the trap was? That would be just getting her into the city world. The rest would take care of themselves once she was here.
