Confrontation.

Damon's POV

The laughter that rented my lips was still not gone by the time I returned to the mansion with my two best friends. By the time we got in, I busted out into another series of laughter.

"That was easier than I imagined it would be," I said when I calmed down. "I thought that she was going to make a fuss in the presence of everyone." Then, I burst into another series of laughter.

"Are you that happy?" Stephan snickered at me.

"Happy, my foot. The guy is gone too far than that," Samuel added.

I ignored both of them and just continued to focus on myself. I was happy because I was able to achieve my plan this time without any opposition. With how smooth everything went, I was surprised that no one was accusing me of using a charm on the woman in question.

"But wait a minute. Why does it seem like I had an easy win? Evie is not someone to just sit back like that," I asked myself when it occurred to me. Or thought that I said those words to myself. It was a surprise when I heard
