Chapter 2

Today was the 65th birthday of the Summers family's matriarch, Lillian.

That evening, a grand birthday party was held at the Summers Residence, attended by at least half of Somme City's upper-class society.

Around 8 PM, the previously bustling hall suddenly quieted down. Lillian slowly walked out, dressed to the nines, accompanied by a handsome and dignified young man.

"Madam Summers, I wish you happiness and health." The guests came forward to wish Lillian well.

"Thank you. Thank you." Lillian smiled and nodded slowly to the crowd.

"I present a coffin, wishing Madam Summers little happiness and imminent death." The untimely voice of a young man suddenly rang out.

A huge wooden coffin then flew into the hall, landing heavily on the ground.

Everyone's expressions instantly changed. Sending a coffin to Lillian's birthday party was equivalent to cursing her to die soon. They wondered who was bold enough to stir up trouble at Lillian's party.

Lillian's face turned livid.

Soon after, a handsome young man in his twenties slowly walked in.

"Dustin.” Lillian's eyes brightened—she was inwardly overjoyed. Lillian had been worrying about when she could finally eliminate Dustin. Now that he had delivered himself right to her doorstep, it saved her a lot of trouble. She would make sure he would not escape again tonight.

"You monster, how could you bring a coffin to your grandmother's birthday party? Are you even human?" A tall, middle-aged man in his 40s glared at Dustin. He was Franklin, Lillian's illegitimate son and the current head of the Summers family.

Dustin slowly glanced across the Summers family members who were present and answered calmly, "I've returned today to take back what belongs to me."

Currently, no one who shared his bloodline remained in the Summers family. They were either from Lillian's family or the Muller family, which Fred was from. Dustin would not allow these people to continue exploiting the Summers family's wealth.

"There's nothing here that belongs to you, Dustin. You were expelled from the Summers family long ago and have no right to enter here. Get lost now, or don't blame us for being heartless." A handsome young man standing next to Lillian shouted. He was Felix Summers, the grandson Lillian was most proud of.

Dustin could not help but smile. These people had stolen his inheritance without a shred of guilt and even dared to reverse the truth.

"Jerk, what are you laughing at? Stand still!" Felix shouted coldly as he furiously charged at Dustin, punching at Dustin's head.

"How dare an ingrate act arrogantly in front of me?" Dustin reached out his left hand and easily caught Felix's fist. A cold gleam flashed across Dustin's eyes as he twisted Felix's right arm with his left hand, breaking it. Felix instantly let out a piercing scream.

Then, Dustin kicked Felix's stomach hard with his right foot. Felix spat out blood and was sent flying backward, landing at Lillian's feet.

Lillian was shocked as she quickly crouched down to help Felix sit up. She asked lovingly, "Felix, are you alright?"

Felix replied indignantly, "Grandma, that jerk broke my right arm! You must avenge me!"

Lillian's eyes burned with hatred as she assured through gritted teeth, "Felix, don't worry. I'll get justice for you."

Lillian stood back up, glaring murderously at Dustin. "You mongrel, how dare you hurt my precious grandson? I'll make sure you die miserably." Then, she shouted, "Somebody break this mongrel's limbs!"

Soon, about ten bodyguards in black rushed into the hall, surrounding Dustin.

Dustin glanced at them and said calmly, "If you don't want to die, leave now."

Immediately, a chilling, murderous atmosphere filled the room. The ten or so bodyguards instantly felt chills and could not help taking three steps back.

Seeing the bodyguards retreat instead of attacking, Lillian flew into a rage. "You useless idiots, what are you waiting for? Attack!"

The bodyguards in black stopped hesitating. They let out a roar and charged at Dustin, waving their fists.

Dustin said flatly, "You won't get burned if you don't play with fire." He moved as soon as he finished speaking.

Instantly, the bodyguards in black lay sprawled on the ground.

It was an instant kill—the legendary instant kill.

The entire hall was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop. Everyone present was shocked. They did not expect the seemingly unremarkable Dustin to be so formidable, effortlessly taking down ten top-notch bodyguards.

Lillian's pupils constricted. "When did this little mongrel become so powerful?"

Dustin slowly walked toward her. "Lillian, my father was forgiving to bring you and your illegitimate son back to the Summers family to enjoy life. Instead of being grateful, you plotted treacherously to cut off the Summers family's bloodline and steal our fortune. You're heartless."

Lillian met Dustin's gaze without flinching. "Shut up, you little mongrel. You're a worthless son, indulging in all vices and even attempting to molest your cousin. You're worse than animals. It's why we expel you from the Summers family."

Dustin could not help but laugh. "Lillian, you're quite good at twisting the truth."

Instead of replying, Lillian snorted coldly.

Dustin added menacingly, "I'm here to give you all a warning today. Three months from now is my father and grandfather's death anniversary. You all must repent in front of their graves by then. If not, I'll kill all of you."

Everyone present, including Lillian, could not help shuddering.

Dustin said no more and turned to leave.

When he stepped out of the hall, Lillian regained her composure. She glared at Dustin's back, her expression turning icy. "Little mongrel, don't think you can act arrogantly in front of the Muller family just because you're a little capable. Soon, I'll make you realize you're nothing but a joke."

She did not take Dustin seriously at all because she had two trump cards up her sleeve.

The first was Xander, a skilled expert who kept a low profile and would not kill on the first and fifteenth of the month. Today happened to be the fifteenth, so he could not strike. However, he would be free to strike tomorrow.

Lillian's second trump card was government power. The Summers family was one of the top four families in Somme City and was influential. The government would not allow anything to happen to them. If Xander could not defeat Dustin, they could request protection from the Four Special Squadrons. She believed that no matter how capable Dustin was, he would not be able to defeat the Four Special Squadrons.
