As your queen, I demand it.

Wilder's POV;

"Why in the world do I have to marry her??" I asked Hershel, shocked by what he had just said.

"Her flames had refused to accept you and that is why the hole in your chest won't close up." He answered.

"Explain, Hershel." I snapped, "Why won't it accept me?" I asked further. I need him to go straight to the point, not to say words that I barely understood.

"Her flames, it's alive."

I rubbed my forehead tiredly, "I know that, Hershel."

He had already explained this to me, I don't know why he felt the need to say it again. He had explain that the reason why her flames would eat a person soul, instead of burn the person's body like a normal fire would... was solely because they live.

"So... normally her flames would devour on their victim's soul, but because of the mystical wolves in you... the flames actually quenches once inside your body." He explained even more, but nothing he said made me understand why I had to get married to Blue.

"Hershel." I called, annoyed.

"Yes Sire." He answered, his eyes staring directly at the floor.

"You told me that her flames would cage the mystical wolves. That is what you said, so why would it quench? And why... why do I have to marry her??"

One more mistake. Just one more mistake from him, and I would loose it.

"Well...." He stammered, unable to look me in the eye.

"Speak! Hershel!" I growled, and he jumped back in fright.

I rubbed the back of my head tirelessly, trying so much to calm my rage.

"I was wrong about that, Sire." He muttered softly, If I didn't have super-hearing I won't have heard him.

Pinching the bridge of my nose, I asked calmly. "Okay, just tell me what it is you found out. Why is the only solution you have to offer me, is marriage to Blue?"

"Be... because.. her flames was not supposed to cage in the wolves, but to mix with your blood and increase your capabilities. That would include, closing up the hole in your chest and making your body a much more stronger cage for the wolves."

I stood up from the chair where I was seated, and paced around the room having a bit of understanding, of what he had just shared.

"So... why do I have to marry her, to make this possible?" I asked, turning around to stare at him.

"Her flames are loyal to her alone. They would only heal her, or help her. But—"

"But?"

"If you were to get married to her, the marriage ritual would let both of you to be joined as one. Also, her blood would be mixed in your blood and.."

"And then her flames would be loyal to me too. They would heal me." I exclaimed in realization. "Get everything ready, Hershel. I am getting married today."

I can't waste a single moment!

*******

"This is absurd, your highness. You can't get married out of the blue. It doesn't make any sense!" An elder in whom I have no desire, to know his name yelled.

Since I took over the throne of Night Shade Pack, this would be the second time I would be having this bunch of idiots before me. Greedy old idiots.

"I wasn't asking for any of you old fools permission. I am getting married, and that is it." I drawled, standing up from my throne and ready to exit the throne room.

"You promised! You said you would marry her, Princess Scarlet. You can't go back on your word." Another old fool yelled.

I sighed, turning back around. "I just did." I grinned.

"What... we won't let you." Another fool countered.

"Really? How do you intend to stop me?" I smirked. I won't deny it, I was enjoying the back and forth we had going on.

An old fool who had been silent the whole time, the one I believe to be Scarlet's uncle, and leader of the old fools drew out his sword, having a serious look on his face. "If you don't, then we have no choice but to kill you."

I nod my head slowly, chuckling, "How do you intend to do it?"

"You see, your highness. We know that you aren't as powerful as you used to be, you have been declining health-wise. And it is for this reason, you want to get married, and have a son. That way you can covert the throne for your lineage." He voiced, with every word he took a step closer to me.

"Is that what you think this is?" I laughed, raising an eyebrow. I laughed even more, "I guess I have been lenient towards you old fools and that is why you think, that you can kill me."

I stretched forth my hand towards him, and his body raised off the ground and flew over to my hand.. my fingers were around his neck.

I tightened my hold his neck, restricting his airflow.

He tapped on my hand desperately, "ple... plea... plea... let... let... sorry..." He begged, his eyes red.

I threw him to the floor, and he hit the ground in a loud thud. "Start all necessary preparations for my wedding." I hollered, then walked out of the throne room.

****

With Blue's right hand, on mine... I stared at her intently. For someone who didn't know she would be getting married to me, she's sure a happy bride. I thought, perhaps she would go crazy. But no, she's calm... calm and happy.

"Blue Flames." Hershel called.

She smiled, and answered. "Yes."

"Do you pledge to take Wilder's Reagan as your king, your husband, your life partner, to be one with him for eternity?"

Without a single hesitation, she nodded her head. "Yes, I do."

I can't understand it, but yet I want to. Why? Why would she be happy getting married to me?

"Wilder Reagan, do you pledge to take blue as your Luna, your life partner, to be one with her for eternity."

I stared at her with so much concentration, thinking... that perhaps, I shouldn't do this to her. I am not the savior she envisioned me to be, neither would I be her forever.

The black hole in my chest, said otherwise. This is me, I am a selfish monster, who would only ever think of himself.

I turned to Hershel, "Yes, I do."

Hershel took a white rope from his assistant, then tied our right hands together. As he did it, he recited... "With the blessing of the moon goddess, I bind both of you together, for eternity. Two souls shall become one. Two destiny's shall become one, and Two hearts shall beat as one."

He collected a small pocket knife from his assistant, then took Blue's left hand and cut it just a bit in the middle, then he did the same to my left palm.

"Hold hands, and tightly." Hershel instructed, and we did so. This is a crucial part in any wedding, this was a part that proves if the moon goddess is in acceptance of the union between the bride and groom.

Of course, the moon goddess won't be in acceptance of ours, but it doesn't mean anyone could object to our wedding, because I won't give them a chance to. If anyone dares utter a single word, I would have their tongue cut off and minced.

"Now let go." Hershel instructed once more.

Blue had her eyes close, she looked tensed and appeared to be praying.

"Your majesty." Hershel called, taking my attention of Blue. "Let go." He voiced.

I nod, then slowly let go of Blue's hand. I didn't stare at my palm, instead I watched her... wondering if she would be disappointed once she finds out our union has been rejected by the moon goddess.

She opened her eyes slowly, raised her palm to the view of her eyes. I watched as a big wide smile appeared on her lips, stretching into an even wider smile. "YES!!!" She screamed.

I stared at my palm confused, and then I saw it.. the reason for her happiness. There was no cut in my palm, our union... the moon goddess ordained it.

Why?

Hershel unwrapped our right hand, and motioned for us to seat down on our thrones. "People of Night Shade Pack, your King and Queen!" Hershel announced loudly, and everyone went on their knees.

"RISE!!" I hollered, and they all stood up on their feet.

One by one, the people of Night Shade Pack walked to the Altar, and dropped gifts while congratulating Blue and I.

"Why are they leaving? I thought we would be having an after party, or are they heading to the venue?" Blue asked, staring at the people leaving through the big doors.

"There would be no party." I informed her.

"What? Why?"

"Look at their faces, do they look like people that want to have a party with me??"

She stared at me confused, but then followed my instructions and turned to look at the people. Their faces held fear, disgust, and just a blank stare.

"They hate me Blue. And people, do not party with who they hate."

"But.. you are the king." She argued,  "Their king." She added.

I chuckled, "nah I'm not. I'm just a monster who killed their king, out of vengeance."

I stood up on my feet. "Where are you going?" She asked.

"I have something to take care of." I responded.

"But we still have more gifts to accept."

"Well have fun, accepting them." I winked at her, climbed down the altar and exited the wedding hall.

******

I stood in front of the Queen's Chamber with a feeling of hesitation. I didn't want to be here, but Hershel....

"Consummating your marriage would be more better, it would raise the chances of her fire healing you up." Hershel had said, when I refused spend the night with the queen.

Of course, he had informed me that her fire would still heal me up regardless of my decision tonight. But her flames would work faster, if I did spend the night.

I want this hole in my chest to be a memory of the past. I want it gone, and I want it to happen faster.

I exhaled then slowly turned the doorknob, the door gave way and I walked inside.

"Wilder." She exclaimed in delight, getting up from the bed her eyes never breaking away from mine.

I breathe in sharply, making sure I looked unaffected by her semi-covered body. Blue was putting on a royal blue lingerie, one that had her breast and thighs on full display for my eyes.

"You should come closer, my king." She commented, blushing nervously.

I stayed put. My feet remained rooted to the ground.

She wants me. But how can anyone want me? She desires me. But how can anyone desire me?

"I did not marry you because I feel love or attraction for you, Blue." I broke silence, gazing into her eyes.

She nodded slowly, "I can be a lot of things Wilder, but stupid.. isn't one of those things. So yes, I know."

I may have tried to not show it, but I was shocked she knew. "Then it is settled, goodnight Blue." I turned around, ready to leave her bedroom.

"Don't you dare take another step, Wilder Reagan." She warned sternly, and without looking back I could tell her entire body has been lit up in her blue flames.

I turned around slowly, and I confirmed that I was right.

"I don't care if you married me for personal reasons, I don't. But you are going to fulfill your duty tonight, Wilder. We are going to have sex, because that is what I desire."

The moment those words left her mouth, the small piece of lingerie covering her already exposed body burned, slowly exposing her explicit beguiling body for my eyes to feed on.

"Make love to me, Wilder Reagan." She covered the gap between us, her eyes reeling me in.. her lips an inch away from mine. "As your queen, I demand it."
