19 - Engagement Party

It's been about three hours since we came back to the house. The original plan was to help Mama and Coraline with the Engagement Party setup, but they didn't want to hear anything about it. Instead, they kept Eugene and chased me away with my assistant - who in turn tried to guide me to my room without needing to keep Eugene from interfering. Well, needless to say, she was so fed up with dealing with Eugene that I needed to let him off in the kindest way possible. It was the usual 'I'll see you later'.

Now, when I was finally pampered and dressed to go, I sat on my balcony overlooking our garden and the forest. I stared towards the grove, where my usual hide-out spot would be, and sighed contently. Wonderful memories flood my mind. I wasted no effort in hiding my smile because why would I?
