I stared at him as he stood at the door. He didn’t even look at me as he found his toes to be more important than his wife sitting in a hospital bed. He said nothing for the entire time he stood at the door. Why? Am I not important anymore? Are you so disgusted with me that I’m not even worthy of being looked at anymore?

Rose’s POVIt’s been nearly six months since I’ve been released from the hospital. The doctors kept me there for supervision for two weeks to make sure I was stable to be living my life again. After they took the bandages off my head, the blow to my head was still visible. The doctors told me that it would take about three more months for the wound to my skull to heal completely.
