36 - Danger

After about a fifty minutes drive, we arrived at the harbour. The taxi driver didn’t want to go further into the vicinity. He dropped me off at the nearest place he could stop. I climbed out of the car, paid him, and watched as he drove off back into the city. I turned around and studied the harbour. I get why he didn’t want to go further because this was an abandoned harbour and no doubt someplace where the mafia people gather to collect their shipments. Now, if I wanted to commit a crime, this would be the place I would go.

I took a deep breath and entered the vicinity. I couldn’t hear anything except my footsteps that echoed as I walked. It was high tide, so the ocean didn’t even move, and there were no seagulls in the sky. Everything was completely silent. 

I walked until I found a clearing where I saw Cassidy standing
