Aiden's p. o. v;I woke up from the bed and looked outside the forest . The sky was clear and the moon still had a little bit of light. I could barely see my reflection in the mirror because the sun was so bright that morning. My hair was a mess of frizz and it took me a few minutes to untangle myself from the sheets, only to have my hands immediately find their way to my face. I walked around the treehouse to take a look around . It was pretty empty now. There was only one bunk bed, which made sense seeing how i wasn’t planning on sleeping there anymore after what happened last night. Sleeping with a big wolf was neither comfortable nor bad. Just... Weird at the moment. The room was small enough for one person but not big enough to get into another person's space. In fact, if there were some more people, we would have been sharing. At least that was what I thought when I went into the room alone. I couldn'T help but think about how much better things might've been like this. Not kno
Abigail's p. o.v;i got ready for the school year, getting rid of all my make up and hair. i just took a shower and was about to head out, when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder. i turned around and saw none other than my dad. he asked, "How was your stay at your friends house?""good!" i replied enthusiastically."i met new people today" i said as i walked away to get changed.my father sighed, thinking back to what happened last time i left home, and that's how his day started. it didn't go smoothly, but he knew i'd be okay.after finishing changing, i headed downstairs for breakfast.once I'm finished with my breakfast, i headed for school. as soon as i reached the entrance, i heard my father calling out my name, so i turned around and went to him."I'll see you later" he whispered. then, after giving me one more hug, he left to go work on his car.me being me, i decided not to go straight into the building, and instead, walked around for a bit. i noticed some kids staring at m
After getting to know that Aiden is an absolute nightmare, you are more than ready to leave him behind. You’re not really sure what the hell he expects from you, but if he can’t even be bothered to ask a simple question of where you go and what you do, then he clearly doesn’t want to be around you anymore. It was his problem when it came down to being able to handle himself, so why should you feel obligated to help him? You have nothing in common with him, besides the fact that you both work at some high end restaurant and he’s a customer of yours. Not to mention that you don’t like spending time with people as annoying and rude as Aiden. So yeah, there’s really no reason for you to stick around him any longer than absolutely necessary. And that’s exactly what you’re going to do. After leaving him back at the restaurant, you find yourself in a cab on your way to a new part of town. It doesn’t take long for you to find out where you’re headed, since you know the area very well, having
Abigail's p. o. v;I got a call from my dad that he'll be late today so i decided to come pick up Alex. He had an important meeting and didn't have any time. And since I'd promised him I would watch the boys, it was the least I could do.But when I pull into the driveway I notice that there are lights on in the house. A very familiar light. So much like his. My heart stops for a second as he appears at the doorway, eyes wide and mouth hanging open slightly, shock clearly written on his face. There's someone standing beside him, wearing dark blue pants and a white t shirt with long sleeves. He's also staring right back at me, eyes wide. I get out of my car and go to talk to them, but then I remember what day it is and realize who they are. "Mom?" I say cautiously. The woman turns and smiles sadly before walking toward me, arms open to give me a hug. Alex runs over to join us and we stand there awkwardly as he wraps his arms around me while I squeeze her tight. It's been too long, far
Abigail's p.o.v;I'm in my bedroom with my phone pressed to my ear as I sit on the edge of my bed, a pen in hand and an assignment notebook open. It's been about five minutes since Dad left this morning to start work at the local bank while Mum went shopping for groceries and other errands. I've got no plans today but after school I'm supposed to spend the afternoon with my friends doing some crafts or watching movies."Yes. Yes we're here." I say into my phone as I finish up writing down the words that were written on the top right corner of the page. The phone starts ringing and I hold it to my ear, waiting for whoever it is to pick up. A male voice answers the phone and I almost drop my pen as my heart rate spikes. He sounds like a very attractive young man which is a bit unusual because all our relatives are older than us by around forty years. "Hi, this is Abigail."There's a pause before he continues. "Hey Abby, this is Jack from school. Do you remember me?" The man asks and t
Abigail's p.o.v;After leaving school, I took my car to my house where I spent the rest of the day watching TV. Mom came home early today because she got a call from an ambulance and had to work overtime so it made sense that she would be tired but as soon as I saw her I was surprised she wasn't already asleep. She didn' know how much trouble she'd get in for being up at such a late hour so when she caught me staring she asked me what I thought was so wrong with me because she was trying hard not to smile while she waited for an answer. I explained that I just couldn' help myself seeing my mom like this, she looked so soft with all those little hairs on her head falling down onto her pillow and the wrinkles around her eyes making her look older than she really was. She told me that I needed to stop doing that and that I should go back to bed but I wouldn' have that, instead I went into the kitchen and tried to make her dinner which, after some discussion, she allowed me to do. I don'
Abigail's p.o.v;"I'm telling you, Abby! I'm not gonna be here!" I shouted as loud as possible at the woman walking away from me in a huff, leaving behind what is most likely a very confused and pissed off looking girl. She turned back, gave me an exasperated look, but said nothing about it. It isn' like she even knew who I was, anyway. But then again, how can one really know someone when they don't say anything to them? How do they even know that it is the right person when there is no way of actually knowing that it is the same person they're talking about? What makes her different enough to stand out so much? If I was just a little bit smarter and more observant, maybe I would've realized what the hell I was doing in my stupid, self proclaimed love life. But alas, all that I could think about was getting outta dodge while I could, while still keeping myself safe and alive.I ran down the street, trying to get as far away from the scene as possible. I didn' bother checking if anyone
Abigail's p.o.v;The sun is setting in the window across my bed as I sit at my desk, pen in hand, and trying to figure out how to start the paper that I've been working on for weeks. My mind is going a mile a minute and nothing seems to be getting written. Finally, I give up and put down the pen. I have no clue what to say, or even where to begin.Just then, there' knocks on my bedroom door. I jump at the sound of it. "Yes, mom?""Sweetheart! It's time for dinner!" My mom calls from beyond my room.I groan inwardly. The last thing I wanted was to go downstairs and face everyone tonight. But since dad left home almost four months ago and my mother and stepfather got divorced, she's all by herself and doesn't know anyone else. She hasn't been eating well and is struggling with her weight issues and it's only going to get worse if we don't try and help her. So I reluctantly agree to go downstairs and have dinner with her."Hey, you." I call as I walk into the kitchen, leaning against th
