Chapter 34

Abigail's p.o.v;

I'm in my bedroom with my phone pressed to my ear as I sit on the edge of my bed, a pen in hand and an assignment notebook open. It's been about five minutes since Dad left this morning to start work at the local bank while Mum went shopping for groceries and other errands. I've got no plans today but after school I'm supposed to spend the afternoon with my friends doing some crafts or watching movies.

"Yes. Yes we're here." I say into my phone as I finish up writing down the words that were written on the top right corner of the page.

The phone starts ringing and I hold it to my ear, waiting for whoever it is to pick up.

A male voice answers the phone and I almost drop my pen as my heart rate spikes. He sounds like a very attractive young man which is a bit unusual because all our relatives are older than us by around forty years. "Hi, this is Abigail."
