" So you mean you're part of the Mafia?" Lorenzo asked as they walked along the streets. The street lights laminated their paths as they took a stroll.

" For how long have you been a Mafia lawyer?" he couldn't help but ask.
" After law school, when my dad died. I had no choice but to take over because I was my father's successor that's why he sent me to law school in the first place. At first, I didn't want to be a part of it but I had no choice when he threatened to disown me. I had nowhere to go or to start from so I obeyed him and after he died I became their lawyer. I was sceptical at first but when time went on, I got used to it and decided to stay." she explained.

Two months into her marriage, she hadn't heard from her parents, not her sister. Her husband had travelled out for a business trip; she thought she might get some freedom, but she was wrong; he had made sure his staff and P.A. watched her every move like a hawk.The only things that kept her sane were school, Penny, and Alianna. Xara expressed her joy every time she left that terrible place to go to school, mentioning this to Penny and Alianna as they accompanied her to her car. They were planning to have a meal together before heading to their next class. It had been several weeks since they last heard from Kai, and she was concerned about him, although she didn't express her worry. He posted on F******k and I*******m to let everyone know that he was okay, and his personal assistant also confirmed that he was doing well. “Hi, beautiful, where's my wife?" Kai asked as he walked past Xara. She had listened to her friend's advice and gotten a makeover. She cut her long boring dark brown hair to shoulder length and had gotten light brown highlights in her hair. Kai's attitude towards Xara came back to normal after a couple of days. Even though he didn't hit her, the verbal abuse was so much that she wished she could run away and seek shelter in another city. But she didn't have the guts to do so. She was worried about her mom and what her dad would say or do to her if he found out that she had run away. Mabel, wherever you are, please come and get your man.
