Chapter 26

Jade quickly slammed the book she was reading in bed and headed for the door when she heard some noise.

“Please stay in, Mrs. Stone” One of the men at the door said to her.

" What is going on?” For some reason, her heart skipped a beat.

" Don't worry, we have everything under control, but you have to get back inside”

What was under control?

Raquel showed up immediately. She held a rifle.

" Raquel” Jade called. " What's going on?”

" Make sure she stays inside. Don't allow her out” She instructed them.

" Yes general” They chorused.

Raquel pulled out another gun. She was in a rush.

“Wait, I won't move an inch, you know that. Just tell me what's happening" Jade became worried for no reason.

Raquel hesitated. " Xavier's car is under attack. Don't ask me more questions because I do not know. My men are still trying to neutralize the threat. Please stay here, you're safe in here”

Jade noded. " Please take care of him” She blurted but couldn't take it back.
