Her parents might have made the biggest mistake ever.
How could they have anything to do with such a dangerous man?
Did they even know who he was? His background and the kind of man he is?
Jade quietly sat at the back seat of the Mercedes with Xavier right beside her, busy with his laptop again.
She was trying to process everything and gladly he didn't try to intrude.
The drive was slow and quiet. She identified some places but seemed lost when the driver took an unfamiliar route.
It was deserted but didn't look dangerous or suspicious. Surely he isn't taking her to a dungeon to torture her.
After a long drive, the car finally came to a stop.
Jade quickly sat up and her door opened.
Xavier had his hand stretched out for her but she rolled her eyes and moved to the other door.
Her jaws dropped when she got down from the car and it rolled away.
Her house is nothing compared to this.
It looked like heaven.
Too big for just one man.
He had security and servants everywhere. Like a hotel.
Beautiful white roses decorated the grass.
Palm trees stood here and there.
The walls were white but mostly had glass.
The doors were large and she could only imagine the kind of lavish lifestyle he lives.
Is he royalty or something?
She looked around and turned to him.
"This is your house?" She asked and he lightly nodded. Jade stared at him for a while. "What exactly do you do?"
"We are not married and you're already playing wife" He walked to her. "I'll show you around" He grabbed her hand and took her along with him.
After a brief detour around the house, Xavier stopped at a door.
"This is your room" He briefly said.
She felt happy and relieved because she wasn't gonna share a room with him.
Jade pushed the doors open and smiled.
This is exactly her dream room.
It had everything she wanted and it was very big too!
Maybe this won't be bad after all.
Two men in suits approached them.
"Watch her" He simply said and walked away.
Jade frowned and turned to the men.
"Watch me!? I won't go anywhere so there is no need for all these!" She took a step to go after him but the men stood in her path.
"Oh no! This isn't happening! Xavier!" She angrily called. "You asshole!" She walked back into her room and slammed the door.
Jade threw herself on the bed but jumped at the knock on the door.
"Come in," She said angrily.
A petite young lady entered with a smile.
"Welcome home ma'am. I'm Maria and I was appointed as your personal servant. Please do not hesitate to ask me for whatever you need" She said with a smile.
How much is Xavier paying her to be so sweet?
"Get out," Jade pointed at the door. Maria blinked.
"But…"
"I said get out!" Jade picked the lamb on her bedside table and threw it at the poor girl but she dodged with a fright and ran to the door.
"Dinner will be served at six and please don't be late. Boss hates tardiness" Maria quickly said and ran out.
Jade closed her eyes and fell back into the bed.
All she needed was a place to escape all this madness.
The darkness consumed her and when she finally opened her eyes, it was twenty five minutes past six.
"Holy shit!" She jumped down the queen size bed and ran to the bathroom for a quick shower.
Her clothes were neatly arranged in the closet and she quickly chose a floral dress. She didn't apply any makeup but brushed her brown hair in a tight ponytail.
When she opened her door, the two men were still standing on guard.
Jade walked past them with a hiss but they followed her.
She stopped and they did. She took another step and they did too.
"This is totally unnecessary! I can't walk around the house myself!" She walked away but they followed her.
"You're going the wrong way ma'am," One of them said with a rough voice.
She turned and took another turn.
"Not that way either" The other one said to her.
"Well show me the way then!" She placed a hand on her hip and followed one while the other walked behind her.
"This is unacceptable!" She said to Xavier when she finally found him on a balcony.
"You're late" He simply said. He wore a gray shirt that hugged him and displayed his tattoos with black jeans.
"That is not the issue! Do they really have to follow my every move!? I said I won't run away! For chrissake, I can't even if I wanted to!" She exclaimed.
Xavier quietly stood and drew out a chair for her.
"Sit" He ordered and she did. "You talk too much," He smiled.
"You drive me nuts!" She stated and gulped down her wine. "I usually don't talk a lot"
"What changed?" He poured himself another glass of wine and stretched his long legs that reached to hers across the table.
"I was very quiet in college until I met this guy. He was so arrogant and annoying as f.uck. He intentionally provoked me, forcing me to yell and talk all the fucking time and one day, I got him expelled" She smiled. "Nobody mess with Jade"
"Really?" He smirked.
"So watch out Xavier. I can easily take care of the people I don't like" She sat back in her chair.
"And I can easily get rid of anyone that annoys me" He smiled back. "Next time, don't keep me waiting" He gave her a warning look.
"I can't see any food" She gestured at the table but some servants immediately walked in with different delicacies.
"Help yourself"
"I'm allergic to white onions," She said. He looked at the dishes.
"Which one has white onions?" He huskily asked but she shrugged.
He briefly tapped his phone and some chefs walked in.
"Which dish has white onion?" He turned to them. "And who cooked it?"
"I did, sir" One of the chefs stepped out.
"I specifically said no whites" He removed his pistol and shot the chef.
The rest took the dishes away while some of his men took the body away.
He looked at her and she was pale.
"That was unnecessary" She said with a shaky breath.
"Eat up" He put back the pistol. "You will get used to it"
Jade couldn't eat anything but drank a lot of water.
Not only did she lose her appetite, the sound of a gunshot always displaces her.
"Give me your hand" He said to her.
"Why?" She slowly gave him her hand but she felt the cold ring slide slowly around her middle finger.
"What the hell!?" She drew her hand away and looked at the ring with a huge diamond on it.
"You deserve an engagement ring because our wedding is just in a week" He stated.
Jade quickly stood up and threw the ring at him.
"What nonsense wedding!?" She yelled.
She just met him hours ago and he is already talking about marriage?Jade stared down at him in confusion.Either he is mad or she is losing her mind. She thought he'll have his fun and end this madness but the more he talks, the more she realizes the mess she'd found herself in.This isn't a joke. The look on his face said it all but part of her wished it was all a dream.Never in her life had she thought of marriage. She doesn't even know what marriage is or how to be in one."We will get married in a week" He stated."You must be joking," She said angrily."Sit down," He commanded. She slowly sat."I won't marry you""Now this is where you're getting it wrong. I'm not asking you, I'm telling you. And you better don't make a fuss because you know exactly what I'm capable of" He brought out his phone and showed her a video of her parents being followed by snippers. She tried to take the phone but he moved it out of her reach. "Stop!" She almost cried."You are gonna do as I say not
Jade woke up with a start due to a noise in her room.Maria was taking out her clothes from the closet."What are you doing!?" She sat up with a yawn."Good morning ma'am. I'm cleaning" Maria gave her a little bow."What? You think my things are trash or what!? That blouse you're holding costs more than your life!" Jade angrily jumped down the bed and roughly snatched her things away making the poor girl jump in fear."And I'll pay for them," Xavier said from behind. Jade quickly turned and saw him standing near her bed.How didn't she see him there?"Don't you have the decency to wake me up from sleep before touching my things?" She said to him."Next time, wake up early" he answered. Jade looked at her alarm clock. Five minutes past eleven."And so what? I don't do anything except sleep, eat and walk around and why the fuck are you taking out my things?" She angrily walked to him."I'll replace them with something I like," he simply said."I'm the one wearing them, what about what I
Jade knew it was now or never. She needed to escape, else her life would be a living hell. She took a deep breath before gently knocking on the door.Whatever she planned to do, she has to be smart about it.She heard the clicking of the door and it slowly opened on it own.Jade walked into Xavier's room. He looked busy with some papers and his laptop."You want something?" He asked without turning to her."Um...I um...are you busy? I can come by later" She stammered."What do you want?" He finally turned to her with an arched brow. This is definitely not the time to ask for favors. He was either angry or stressed."I...never mind" She turned to leave but the door shut before she reached it."You missed me?" He walked to her."No!""Too bad" He gave her a small smile"I mean...You look...tired and I dont want to disturb you really" She stepped back."Isn't sweet you care about me?" He followed her."I don't! I...mean I wanted to ask if I could go to the mall but you're really busy" S
The woman's scent danced aggressively in the dark night of New York, almost choking Jade."Carrie" Xavier gestured for her to come over. "How was your flight?"Carrie majestically walked to them and dropped her purse on the table."Relaxing!" She looked at Jade with a frown but turned to him with a smile."So Raquel was right after all" "Jade, this is Carrie. She is one of my subordinates and Carrie, Jade. She is my fiancée" He introduced. Jade offered a handshake but Carrie didn't take it."Nice to meet you, again" Carrie threw her a fake smile."You know each other?" He asked looking from one woman to the other."She bumped into me at the mall and ruined a five thousand dollar blouse" Carrie smiled. "But don't worry, I don't hold grudges. We are good, right Jade?" Jade ignored her."Why don't you freshen up and your dinner will be served in your room?" Xavier changed the topic."This looks fine to me. I'll just eat a little and call it a night" Jade maintained a practiced smile. X
Jade tossed around the bed in awkward positions. One of her legs was sticking out of the duvet while her hair was in mess on a pillow. She mubbled something and finally sat up and the brightness from the french windows almost blinded her.Of course! That was why she was uncomfortable. Her eyes finally rested on the mannequin that stood in the middle of her room. She scuffled out of bed to admire the dress on it.“Wow" She couldn't deny the fact that it was a very pretty dress, and expensive too!She definitely knows expensive when she sees it. Plus she's in Xavier's house and he doesn't like to hide his riches. It was a black dress embroidered with black precious stones and pearls. What caught her attention was the veil.Jade had to move around it to get a better look. That was when she realized how long it was and her jaw dropped.“Holy shit!" She stared at it, trying to deny what her brain was saying.“Yes, that's your wedding dress" Xavier said which made her jump. She turned to se
One way or the other, she must escape today.“I want to go for a drive" Jade informed Xavier the very next day.She felt suffocated staying in her room and having to look at that goddamn dress every fucking time she walked in.She was grateful for it though, it served as a reminder.“ Aren't you supposed to be…”" I'm fine” She said with a little bit of desperation. He granted her the wish and she picked the car of her choice.Jade happily drove out of the mansion knowing that she'll never see it again. When she hit the express, she noticed Xavier's men following from a safe distance.“Of course” She muttered with the roll of her eyes. She knew she can't afford to fail.Soon enough, she got stuck at a traffic light.Perfect!Jade stuck her head out of the window to scan around and finally spotted Lily in a Corolla. She sneakily climbed out of the car and crawled to the other side of the road to meet her friend." Jay!” Lily happily hugged her. " I'm happy to see you. What happened yes
It wasn't like any other day. From the warm milk that caressed her naked body to the red rose petals that danced to the waves. The soft silk robe that hugged her body to the slight raking of the comb through her brown hair. The moisture of the cream melting down her skin to the different texture of brushes sweeping across her face. The soft laughter of the servant girls rhymed with the deafening silence in her head. From the pins in her hair to the cold diamonds around her throat, even down to the oddly comfortable heels that swallowed her feet. The zipping of the dress and the pinning of the veil.Black roses placed in her cold palms as she was led to the Cathedral with a long tail following behind. All she heard was the wedding bells.Wedding bells that signified unity.Wedding bells that signified beginning.Wedding bells that signified happy ending. But her bells only rang with an warning.A known warning. She was dressed in all black.Matching into what seemed to be her beginnin
Excitement was an understatement. She was ecstatic and overwhelmed! This pleasure has definitely replaced the anger and trauma she felt. But for how long.Jade knew it'd last for a very considerable amount of time when she woke up the next day and he was still with her in bed.His arms wrapped protectively around her waist.Their toes mingled and she silently listened to his steady heartbeat.Slowly lifting her head, she adjusted her meesy hair to take a proper look at his face.Jade never liked his piercing but now she realized how nice they looked on him.Even his nose ring was kinda seductive.‘Behave yourself, Jade!’She didn't know if it was because she got laid or she as actually meant it.Then his tattoos caught her attention. All these tattoos should have a meaning right? But what kind of experience made him get all that? Were they good or bad?How many times or how bad can a man really get hurt? She traced from the little upsidedown crucifix just below his left eye down to hi
