Chapter 23 (Ana's POV)

I was left speechless just standing at the entrance of the ballroom.

Sure, I came prepared, dressed in white and all that. But once William said those words out loud, they were still somehow shocking for me.

I am actually getting married today it seems.

I was looking at William from the doorway.

He sure was the most handsome man here. Even with his neon green button-down. He was a nice vision for my eyes.

What I didn't happen to take into account was the fact that the bride-to-be would also be coming down the stairs and through this door to reach the altar.

And unfortunately for me, it was too late by the moment I realized my mistake.

Because a really annoying voice was already screaming at me and drawing attention from everyone present.

"How dare you wear a white dress on my wedding day! Security! Throw her out! "

Honestly? I wanted the earth to open up and swallow me at that moment, but I knew it would be best if I just turned around and confronted her.
