chapter seventy- three

Alpha's POV

I knock over all the objects on my desk, turning it upside down and breaking it into pieces with my strength. I'm angry, tension has built up in my office. Beta Mark is in front of me, questioning my actions. His words are like a constant buzz in my ears as we debate Lily's situation.

"Do you really believe Lily would be capable of doing something against Olivia?" Mark asks, his expression skeptical.

I take a deep breath, my temper flaring. I look at Mark, determined in my response. "The evidence points to her," I say firmly. "All the proof, all the clues, everything leads to Lily. As long as she refuses to tell the truth about where she was last night, I have no choice but to keep her locked up."

Mark seems reluctant, but he knows I am the Alpha, and as much as he may disagree, he accepts my decisions. However, the concern in his eyes is evident. "What if you're wrong? What if Lily is innocent?"
