41: Blair’s POV
~Friday Afternoon~We had packed everything into Alice's car and drove a few hours before arriving at her mother's house. Alice had debated back and forth on getting a hotel but apparently her mom had insisted we stay with her. She had told her mom I was coming but I don't think she mentioned the fact that we're dating yet which had my nerves on end. She promised that we'd leave and find a hotel if things went too badly but I was still extremely anxious for this trip. I was surprised that Alice was letting me come with her since I had never met her family before. I honestly figured I wouldn't meet them until after I graduated but Alice was persistent that she wanted me there. We pulled onto a road with giant houses all painted white with the same aesthetics decorating them. It was a nice community and I could only imagine how much a house around here would cost. Alice had never struck me as the rich type but as we pulled into one of the driveways it was pretty clear

~The Next Day~We were the first to arrive at the funeral home, I had yet to make my way up to the front yet. My mom has decided to cremate him due to how he died and not wanting anyone to see him like that. I agreed with her and was thankful for it because I do not want to remember him like that, I want to remember my brother who I loved when we were younger.~10 Years Ago~"Braiden slow down!" I yelled after him trying to pedal my bike fast enough to keep up with himHe turned looking back at me and laughed "Come on slowpoke we're almost there."We had rode our bikes across town to go swimming at the local spot we had found a year or so ago. When we finally got to the bank of the creek we threw our bikes down and ran into the cold water laughing."See I told you it'd be worth it." He grinned splashing meI laughed and splashed him back "You were right, it's so hot

~1 Hour Later~The ceremony had ended awhile ago and everyone had gathered outside to talk. Alice's father had ended up making it to the funeral after all and it made sense when she explained to me who the man in the back was."So I hear that you're the lucky girl my daughter has fallen in love with." He smiled holding his hand out for me "My name is David it's nice to meet you."I took his hand and shook it nervously "It's very nice to meet you, I'm Blair."He smiled genuinely at me "Me and Alice were talking about you two coming up to visit me over spring break. I live out in Florida now in a beach house so I thought it'd be a fun way to spend time with you two. I've missed Alice terribly and I'd love to get to know you more.""Oh dad don't put the poor girl on the spot." Alice laughed as she approached usHe let out a low chuckle "Alright, I'll let you two talk about it first the

"Alice I can't believe you did all of this, when did you even have time to set this up?" Blair questioned, her eyes wide as she took in the scene in front of herBonnie has once again helped me set up the date, honestly she's much better at this stuff than me. I had been hanging out with her quite a bit, when I wasn't with Blair of course."Bonnie helped me." I said smiling over at herWe had strung lights in the trees of my backyard and set up the fire pit we got from Lowe's first. It was honestly a pain in the ass but starting the fire was even harder. We had created a path of rose petals all the way from the front door to the backyard as well as hung a sheet up out back. My old movie projector had luckily still worked and projected a picture of us with "Happy Valentines Day Blair" in red print."God my present was shit compared to this." She mumbled out still looking around at everything"It was

~2 Weeks Later~"Wake me up when graduation starts." Mike groaned putting his head down on the table as soon as he sat downI looked over at him laughing "What happened to you?""I'm just sick of school." He whined looking up at meCallie chuckled at him "C'mon Mike it's not that bad."He shot her a glare "I have two papers due tomorrow and I haven't even started them."John laughed hysterically "Dude I'm in those classes with you and we had over a month to do them.""I've been busy." He shrugged as Suzie approached us with a brunette following close behind her"Hey guys!" Suzie said, seeming excited "This is my new friend Ally and she just transferred here so I asked her to sit with us."She was a small framed girl with long brown hair and bright blue eyes. She was awkwardly looking away from us at the ground, her hands in her pock

Watching Blair and Ally all class had my blood boiling by the time the bell finally rang. I usually wasn't one to get this jealous but with how weird Blair was earlier and how close they seemed already, I couldn't help it. Everyone had left except Ally who had waited behind to talk to me. We had just covered everything and I couldn't wait to leave so I could talk to Blair."Thank you for staying after, if you have any more questions don't be afraid to ask." I smiled at herShe smiled back with her annoying perfect rows of pearly whites "Of course, thank you for explaining everything to me.""Anytime." I smiled faintly at herShe packed her things away before slinging her bag over her shoulder "Do you and Blair know each other?"Why the fuck is she asking me that?"I'm pretty sure I'm her favorite teacher but other than that no, why?" I asked giving her weird lookSh

~The Next Day~"Hey Blair." Ally greeted me as she walked up to meI was still currently at my locker waiting for Callie who was running behind this morning.I looked over at her and smiled "Hey Ally.""I'm sorry about texting you, I should've just asked for your number myself." She stated with a blushI smiled softly "It's okay Ally, I'm just kind of already seeing someone.""Oh," her eyes went wide and her cheeks flushed a dark red "I'm so sorry, I didn't even really mean it like that specifically. I was hoping we could be friends, I mean I just don't have very many since I just moved here and you're really nice."She seemed extremely nervous, not that I blamed her."You're good, we can be friends." I nodded as I spotted Callie coming up behind her"You would not believe the morning I've had." Callie stayed as she opened her locke

It was weird staying with my dad after not seeing him for so long. He had reappeared into my life as quickly as he had left it and part of me still resented him for it. He had shown us around, taking us downtown to go shopping the second day and to the pier on the third. He seemed genuinely happy and after everything we had been through I couldn't blame him for moving out here. He seemed to love Blair which had surprised me at first but then again, my mother was always the homophobic one. We had to head home tomorrow in order to make it back in time for Sarah's birthday and honestly I was a bit sad to be leaving so soon."What time do you two gotta be at the airport tomorrow?" My dad asked looking over at us from across the tableWe had settled into the back patio an hour or so ago, my dad with his beer and us with our wine coolers. It was hotter today than it had been since we got here but now as the sun set it felt refreshing."Ou

Sarah had been a wreck when we finally went to see her but she somehow gathered the courage to go in and report him. She was stronger than I had been and part of me hated myself for it. If I had just told someone sooner he would've never had the chance to do this to her, to ruin her life the way he did mine. Sarah tried reassuring me that it wasn't my fault and that she had been with him long enough to deal with it on her own. I could see straight through that fake smile and confidence though considering I had done the same thing for so long.Scott had disappeared and no one had heard from him in over a month despite him now being a wanted criminal for both assault and sexual assault. Sarah seemed genuinely terrified the longer he was missing and I couldn't say I blamed her. My dreams had turned to nightmares over the past month, worse nightmares than even when I was fourteen. Alice had woken me up numerous times claiming I was screaming but I usually just pretended

It was well past five by the time I had finally gotten home and Blair was still nowhere to be seen. Knowing she had to run to her apartment first I had drove over to find the place completely empty. It wasn't like her to just disappear, let alone not contact me in any way about it. I had called and texted more times than I could count at this point and as seven rolled around I knew something was wrong. I had arrived at Sarah's without even really thinking it through fully and was knocking on her door before I had even processed what I was doing fully. When she answered, her face fell slightly in confusion "Hi Alice, is everything alright?""Have you heard from Blair?" I stuttered out unable to get a grip on my nervesShe shook her head "No, is everything okay?""Well, I don't want to worry you but she was supposed to meet me after school and I still haven't heard from her. She's not at her apartment and she's not an
