Chapter 21
Damian   The entire way back to the range, I looked over everything in the folders Ben gave us. I could not wrap my mind around this. Why the hell would they do this? Who the hell are they working for?  When we got back to the range, we got out and walked over to Jax.  "We need to talk now," Oliver said. Jax followed us and we went into one of the buildings so that none of the other guys could hear what we were talking about.  "What did Ben have to say?" Jax asked.  "We have two suspects. Ryan and Blake," Noah said.  "Are you serious?” Jax asked.  "Yeah. It’s all in here." Oliver handed Jax the folder. He opened it and saw the texts, the bank accounts, and the photos.  "These motherfuckers. What does Mitch want to do with them?" "He wants them in the box," Oliver said.  "Okay. Let's send the rest of t

Chapter 22
Ophelia   I could see the sun coming through my windows, so I rolled over and looked at the time. It was 11:30am and I had five missed texts from Sam and three missed facetime calls.  I got up, went to the bathroom, and brushed my teeth, ran my fingers through my hair then sat on the couch and facetimed Sam.          Sam: It's about time you call me back.          Me: I'm sorry. We didn't get home until like 1:30am maybe 2:00am and I was tired.          Sam: Well noisy people need details, so start spilling.              Me: Well, it was so amazing. Like it really surprised me.          Sam: Really?      &nb

Chapter 23
Ophelia   A few weeks later dad finally agreed to let us go to Miami. Of course, when Noah and Oliver found out, they decided to come with us. Noah and Damian picked a few extra guys to come with us as security.  My girlfriends and I made a quick shopping trip to pick up a few extra outfits to bring with us and to get our nails and toes done. The weather was going to be beautiful in Miami, so we made sure to pack plenty of bikinis. Since there were so many of us going and we were planning to stay for a few weeks, dad had the pilot get the 787 ready and Jax called and set up transportation for us while we were down there.    The day finally arrived for us to fly to Miami. That morning Henry made us a good breakfast and my friends arrived a few hours before takeoff so that we could get our luggage loaded up. I knew we would be arriving in warmer weather, so I decided to wear a baby blue satin wrap dr

Chapter 24
Damian      While Ophelia was upstairs getting ready, I talked with Noah and Oliver for a moment then went upstairs to jump in the shower. After I dried off, I walked back into the room and got dressed. I put on my black slacks with a black button-down shirt, rolled the sleeves and put on my black square toe shoes. I put my gun behind my back and put on a grey pinstripe vest to conceal it.  I sat down in the chair and watched as Ophelia did her hair and makeup, or should I say I admired the view. I have never felt so strongly about someone like I do with this woman. She continues to amaze me. With everything that has happened and everything that she has been through, she has not let it stop her. And the fact that she willingly gives herself to me, tells me she trusts me completely. The way her body responds to my touch lets me know she trusts I will not hurt her, and I would never force her into anything

Chapter 25
Ophelia   The following two weeks flew by. We took the boat out into the bay and played in the water. My friends and I went shopping around town. We laid out by the beach and at night we would either hit up a nightclub or go out to dinner. We were all looking forward to the Charity Gala at the end of the trip. Each year our family donates a large amount of money to the Gala which benefits several charity groups. I had been wanting to go with one of the groups when they went to Europe, unfortunately, I missed out on the opportunity. Damian and I had also been spending more time together. We went on several dates, just him and I. We also went on a few double dates with Noah and Sam. I was still having a hard time believing that those two were dating. Neither had been one for relationships. I loved Noah and Sam and always thought they would make such a cute couple. One night, we had all decided to stay in and chill out arou

Chapter 26
Damian   After I made Ophelia go back upstairs, I walked over to the guy the guards had caught. Oliver had already done a number on him, but he was still breathing.  "Who the fuck sent you?" I asked him. He didn't answer and Oliver hit him again. "Answer the fucking question." he yelled.  “Viktor sent us. He wants Ophelia."  "Are you fucking serious?" I asked, as I squatted down in front of him.  "Yes. We were told only her, and her bodyguard would be here with a few friends. It was supposed to be an easy snatch and grab."  "You were never going to walk out of here with her. I don't care if it was just me. I would never let you take her."  "That's why we shot you first." the guy said.  "Wow. Okay. There is no way in hell that I’m letting that Russian motherfucker take her. Not while I’m fucking breathing.” I held my hand out and No

Chapter 27
Ophelia   When Damian left the room, I started packing jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, leggings, sweaters, and anything else that I could find that might be normal clothes. My heart was racing, I could not believe what was happening. This was too much.  A little while later Ben brought me back my phone.  "Okay. So, you will still be able to use it, but no one will be able to track it. I did go ahead and delete all social media, so right now, you don't exist on social media.” "Well damn. Okay. Thank you, Ben."  "Yes ma'am," He grabbed me and gave me a big hug, "Stay safe Ophelia. I will do everything I can to get you back home quickly. Just hang in there," he said, as he started to tear up.  "Don't cry or I will lose it. I'm hanging on by a thread, don't make me cry," I said, but I could feel the tears swelling up in my eyes. He sniffed and laughed, "Okay. I won't cry. I'll s

Chapter 28
Ophelia          We ended up driving eleven hours the first day and stopped in a small town somewhere in Ohio. There was a little motel off the road that we stopped at. Damian got out and went in to talk to them. Apparently, they still accept cash because he came back with keys to a room.  We pulled around to the room and got out. We were both glad to see it was at least half ass clean. We put our bags in the room, then walked across the street to the little diner. It was adorable, and you could tell they were proud of their state. There was Ohio stuff all over the place. We took a seat in a booth and looked over the menu.  "How are you all doing today?” the waitress said. "We're good thanks," I said.    "My name is Tammy; I will be your waitress. What can I get you to drink?"   "I'll have water with lemon please." I said. "I

Chapter 29
Ophelia      The next morning, I woke up to find that Damian was already up cooking breakfast. It smelled amazing. I got out of the back of the truck and walked over to him. He was sitting at the picnic table looking at the map. I walked up and wrapped my arms around him. "Good morning," I said, as I kissed him on the cheek.  “Good morning baby girl. How did you sleep?"  "I slept well actually. The air mattress is pretty comfy."  "Yeah, it's not too bad."  "So, what's our next stop?"  "Well, we're going to go across Tennessee over to Arkansas. We'll probably stay the night in Arkansas and finish the drive tomorrow. I want to arrive after my cousins have left for school. I know my aunt and uncle are going to have questions. I figured it would be better to explain this without worrying about the kids hearing."  "That's fine. Will I have to use

Chapter 30
Ophelia      As we drove through the small town in Texas, my heart started racing. I was so nervous about meeting his family, but I was even more nervous about what they would say if we told them the real reason we were here. Damian pulled off the main highway and onto a gravel road. Both sides of the driveway were lined with wooden fences. On one side there were horses and on the other side there were cows.  "Damian." "Yeah?" "Can we maybe not tell your family why we're really here," I asked timidly. He pressed the brake and brought the truck to a stop, put it in park and looked at me, "Why?"  "I really don't want to tell them right now. I mean, I want them to know me first before finding out why we are here or who I am. I mean, what if they get pissed off that we came down here?"  "They won't get pissed off. If you don't want to tell them, that's fine. I'll
