The white ceilings and the ancient stone halls shone brightly that day - more brighter than the days before. The Council gathered on the White Hall of the Time Palace, certain in rejoicing the waking of the Phoenix. There were wines and wine glasses in the hall and there was food. Travelers had been busy all night drinking up themselves. "She is not yet awake," Rex said. "We can't celebrate yet. They had to prepare themselves more than ever and what a shame for them when she returned and found out this. No one responded them as it happened that they were all knocked down on the floors. The Council was a little group of Travelers who the Phoenix had chosen and said to be the best. He wondered how they'd become the best. It must be some wild parties. Chapter 44: Painful Goodbye
It felt more like a shadow of a nightmare than a memory. Beth could not remember much of it but she surely knew that it happened. She had scars on her skin to remind her of it and she had a man. Philip reminded her of the incident. If it wasn't of him, she might have forgotten everything at all. It was not an easy journey and she remembered how every patient went through in her life and it created a trauma. In fact, she could never forget the nightmare. She lost so much on those - patients who thrived and the blood, she still dreamed of them. The gush of blood as if it was flooding and the screaming and the smoke and the arid smell of burnt blood. If it wasn't for Philip, she might have died already while sleeping. One time, he was not there with her, so, it was Mark who woke her up. Her sweat was running down her whole body as gravity pulled it down of her while her voice was inaudible. She wanted to talk but her body refused her command. So, she struggled.

Chapter 45: New Strategy
The Night Children were immortal except if they starved themselves of blood for three Hunts or they staked their hearts. Miranda overlooked at the floating terrace she had on the Tower of Constants. People roaming were like tiny ants, even tinier than ants, below them. The city lights looked like stars on land, glistening and glimmering against the darkness which flooded them. If humans had any idea of what happened on the magical world right now, they would understand what was happening to them too. And, it would scare them. It happened that they didn't. They needed something to hold on into so that there would never be chaos on the mortal realm when they knew that what they believed in had actually did not have any meaning at all. Imagine if that happened. There would be no meaning of God. And, there were so many gods down there but everyone was sure of who they believed in and no one would claim they were wrong. Let them be. Miranda said to herself. It was

Chapter 46: Alone but not Helpless
Kristina felt the tension in the room when Constants started to question her ability to lead a group. She smiled gracefully at the thought since it made her even stronger. She was a Night Cat and she wasn't born from yesterday - she was there for all eternity like all the rest of the Constants in the room. She has just forgotten it and that all made the difference. Now, she made the same decision of damning their souls and she got the same advantage with them minus the years that she could not remember at all. It did not matter though. It was repeated history and she desired nothing of riches in the world. Some of the Constants were rich people running the world. That was the very reason why they became rich. They got the upper hand against their competitions and since it was repeated they knew exactly how to win. It was like repe

He knew it was all for good intentions but he now clearly saw the difference. Everything was personal. His grandfather was right on that and as long he kept his path clear of all the distractions, he would never lost his way towards it. He remembered his half-brother. Rudolf brought him there back in the past. It was a long time now that he almost forgotten his face and the memories started to fade. It shocked him that it was still clear to him even now.
