At the church, Christopher didn’t think Selena could look more beautiful - until she reappeared by his side to walk into the ballroom at the Hudson Estate.             Christopher knew why she had gotten up. She had inserted a diaphragm. He had felt the rim of it twice. He thought about going back to his room because he didn’t want to hover, to make her feel smothered or uncomfortable. After all, he just ravaged her like a wild animal.             Christopher had ended up staying in North Carolina for a few days. He had arrived home Saturday around five p.m. Bruce had come home two hours ahead of him on a commercial flight. During cocktails, Bruce ranted about the London deal, but he had pulled it. But, everyone let him go on so he could get the frustration off his chest. Christopher told them that they had caught the person who had made and planted the bomb. The guy was an engineer who worked for a local company.             Five weeks later . . .             Selena couldn’t have been happier.
