Maddie slowly spun as Flora checked her dress. Eliza gave her two thumbs up which made Maddie smile. Flora clasped her hands when Maddie faced her. “As expected, you suit the dress.” Flora said while gently dusting off the skirt of the dress. Maddie’s face burned and all she managed to give as a response was a shy smile. Eliza helped her remove the simple cream floral dress that Flora designed herself. She immediately went to her, bringing the dress that will be her wedding gown, as soon as she heard the news that Maddie and Theo are getting married in two days time. Eliza hurriedly went to Theo who’s having his morning meeting with the guards. Despite her growing nervousness and fear, the servant still took all her courage with her when she entered the room. Theo quickly stabbed her with his glare so Eliza quickly bowed her head. “I apologize, my lord.” She breathlessly said with her head still down. Two guards instantly went on both her sides, waiting for an order to drag her away and behead her. “State your purpose before I get your head to feed the birds.” Theo said seriously while staring at Maddie’s personal servant. “Miss Maddie did not cheat on you and I can vouch for that. “Eliza, where are we going?” Eliza just smiled at her before she continued dragging her to the front porch. It’s already late at night and she should be resting because it is her wedding day tomorrow. Maddie thought that it will take a while before they will get married, especially after their misunderstanding. Maddie took a deep breath but it was no use. She’s still having a hard time controlling her breathing as she’s too nervous. Eliza helps her calm down by giving her an assuring smile. Maddie smiled back at her but it was crooked. “You are beautiful, my lady.” Eliza complimented sincerely and it has been her nth time of saying that statement. “It’s not that I am worried about, Eliza.” Maddie said before pouting her lips. “Is it about the ritual?” Eliza is now worried too. Maddie kept looking at herself in the mirror. She feels nauseous just by merely thinking about what's going to happen in a few while. She took a deep breath while shaking her hands as they kept on shaking. Maddie's nervous, super nervous that she thinks she wilo faint any moment now. She and Theo will share their first night together and it is her first time. She's afraid of what she's going to do and feel. Maddie missed again and slashed the curtain. Despite the confusion, Theo was still quick in dodging Maddie’s attempt to kill him. He stood on the other side of the room, naked and bewildered about what was happening. “Put the dagger down, Maddie. Let us talk this through.” Theo said calmly but Maddie is nowhere near calm. He can feel her anger and what’s worse is that he couldn’t understand why. They were happy, or so he thought. “There’s no need to talk, Theo. What needs to be done here is to end you.” Her voice is filled with so much hatred that Theo forgot she was the woman he loves.
