They went downstairs and looked at the living room, but Cassie wasn't there. They rushed out frantically and ran to the beach, but Cassie was not there. They came back and went on searching for her in the garden but she wasn’t there. Christine’s knees gave way and she almost fell but Marty quickly held her arms and he pulled her up to his chest.  “Marty, our daughter, ” she sobbed on his chest. “Hush, we’ll find her. Let’s go inside,” said Marty, trying to pacify her.  Sensing her trembling body, he knew that she can’t walk so Marty scooped her in his arms. She sobbed and hugged his neck trying to get strength from him.  On their way back to the house, Greg came near them, looking at his boss’s grim face, he asked, “Sir, what happened”   

As usual, the company employees dispersed whenever they saw Christine getting out of the elevator. She had ignored this time after time, but not today, they have already crossed the line. Rather than going straight to her office, she stood there and looked at the employees. The employees were terrified at the coldness in her eyes. Her sternness was nothing more than a facade that she wore when dealing with her employees so that they would not take her lightly. She opened her mouth and addressed the employees, “I have observed for a long time that some if not most of you are either loafing, dallying or goofing employees. Journalists are generally in competition for scoops so they wouldn't let this opportunity slide, especially as they will be able to write something about business magnate Marty Jacobs. The conference hall was livened up by animated conversations of journalists. Luke entered the conference room, and stood beside the platform, and in less than a minute Marty entered. The man oozed a silent commanding authority that with his mere presence the animated place fell into a dead silence. He climbed up the platform and sat. His eyes scanned the group of reporters and then glanced at Luke. As his personal assistant for more than a decade, Luke instinctively knew what that gaze meant.
