Adelina's pov:Maximus went to the bar, put some whisky and headed to his chair. He sat, took a sip from his glass, raised his head and looked at me in a stern way. I kept my gaze to him too. Adelina's pov:We started our night out with a very classy restaurant in the center of the town. It was decorated very elegantly and looked very expensive. White and wood dominated all over the place. It had beautiful gold chandeliers, white wooden tables and chairs with metallic gold finishes. It was obvious that all the high society of our city ate here. We met a lot high ranked members of our pack but also very foreigners. There were also some humans.We sat at a table by the window. Alex was used to being here and had a great presence from the staff, especially from the waitresses who did everything to please him. Maximus' pov:I arrived at the northern border in a few minutes. The border guards kept a strong defense and I immediately joined them. After several minutes of fighting with rogues we managed to repel most of them. Once again the border guards did an amazing job. I'm really proud of my warriors. Chris informed me that we were doing very well in the south as well. We had repulsed most of the ruthless attacks and fortunately we had minimal losses and minimal injuries. Although their weapons were obsolete, their combat techniques and skills were of a high standard and that worries me.
