PART TWO: CHAPTER SIXTEEN
As Zaramanni walked into her room, she asked herself a question she had never thought of. For the first time, she wondered who her parents were. No doubt, one of them was a fairy, the other a human. But, while growing up with her granny, there was no mention of who her parents were. Nor were there pictures or proof in form of material things that could point out that her parents were ever around. There was nothing that could indicate who they were either. That thought failed to weigh her down. Zaramanni was quick to dismiss it since she wouldn’t be getting answers soon. Zara was about to reach for her phone after shifting the ball of clothes on her bed aside when she felt a sudden tap on her shoulders, the touch making her greatly startled. In the process of spinning her legs, her heart seemed to beat slower but she soon sighed with relief when she saw the person who had asked for her attention. With a little frown on his manly face which was further detailed thanks to his

PART TWO: CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
‘What were you thinking, Zaramanni?’ The shrill voice of the principal reached her ears. ‘You almost killed Gavin!’ Rustling noises followed. ‘What were you even doing with broken glasses?’ Zaramanni looked up, her hard gaze tearing away from her hands which were coated with Gavin’s blood hours ago. When she locked eyes with the principal, the woman whose red-ginger hair was well layered on her shoulders in all of its glow, let out a soft gasp. It was almost as though she could see something in Zara’s eyes that she had never seen before. But, the principal soon composed herself, cleared her throat, sat up, and said, ‘You have to be punished for what you have done. You almost killed Gavin. If not for his kindness and consideration, you will be in jail right now.’ ‘Mrs. Amber,’ Gavin spoke from where he was seated. ‘It is fine. She must have been angered by something. I am just glad I was there to stop her from harming herself.’ ‘Wow.’ The woman had dreamy eyes and she dutifully

PART TWO: CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
“Who are you?” Beta Zoey’s booming voice questioned, his feet approaching the aching scene. The man who was speaking cruelly to Clarissa got on his feet. “I-” Zoey temporarily paid no heed to Andrea whose countenance had quickly changed. After helping Zaramanni off the ground, the Beta's face wore a frown because of a little groan that slipped out of Zara's lips. The way she dearly held the side of her stomach concerned Zoey as well. That display of slight pain caused Zoey to dart flaming glares in the direction of the strange man that had found his way into the manor. “What did you do?” he demanded. “I- I didn’t mean to-” Andrea sighed as he watched the uniformed men who were walking with Beta Zoey help Clarissa. “I was just trying to talk to my mate.” “Clarissa?” Zoey was still closely holding Zara, as though saying he would never leave her unless something forces him to do so. “Yes. I was just trying to have a conversation with my wife who has not been home for days bu

PART TWO: CHAPTER NINETEEN
“Zara, I am fine,” Clarissa said weakly. “You can stop watching me so closely. Honestly,” the she-wolf narrowed her eyes, “you are freaking me out.” Zaramanni didn’t leave Clarissa’s hand. She continued to hold it dearly as they waited for one of the guardians. “I just need to make sure you are doing fine,” she replied. “I am moving into your room while I am still in a hospital bed, you will have plenty of time to see if I am doing okay. Now,” she waved the girl away, “take a few steps back and let me breathe.” Zaramanni reluctantly complied but her eyes never left the woman whose bed was positioned in front of her room. They were waiting for the doctor’s instructions concerning Clarissa's transfer into Zaramanni's room. After Clarissa woke up from her long slumber, something in the woman's eyes tugged at Zaramanni's heart. It caused Zara to decide to keep the woman close by placing her hospital bed in her room. Besides, the hospital wing of the manor was too far away, the sor

Alpha Darren was about to lose it. His eyes filled with anger, he glared at the wooden surface in front of him, his hands pressing the sculptured handles of his majestic and comfortable chair. “I am sure he is close by,” Beta Fam spoke, his eyes carrying a look of caution. He didn’t want to piss off the King who looked like he could cause the entire room to face chaos within the blink of an eye. “This is our first council meeting since the attack, how can Beta Zoey be this late?” Verano pack's representative, Beta Howli said from the other end of the table where he had tucked himself into. The he-wolf who barely uttered words on a good day surprised others when he further said, “Alpha Darren, please be patient. I am sure Beta Zoey has a reason for this.” “He has probably forgotten there’s a meeting today,” Sham added and his tone was notably filled with some kind of smugness. “Let’s not be hasty with our thoughts,” Lord Elias finally spoke. “There must be a reason for his laten

PART TWO: CHAPTER TWENTY TWO
As the Beta tilted his head to the other side while his fingers continued to provocatively rake her hair, Zara found herself leaning into their demanding lip-lock some more. When his hand pulled her closer and closer to his body, Zara found herself moving sensually. It was as though her lower body suddenly had a brain of its own.The way she ground against him made her feel good. And she wanted more of that new yet thrilling feeling. Suddenly, the kiss came to an end. Zaramanni let out soft gasps when Zoey held both sides of her face and looked into her eyes dearly.“I have always imagined this moment. Where I have you in my arms, where I get to know what you feel against my body, where,” his chin went on to rest on the top of her head and he rubbed his jawline against her hair like a pet acting cozy with its owner, “I get to teach you what a man’s touch can do.”When their eyes connected again

Her lids fluttering hard to fight the watery feeling in her eyes, Zaramanni finally woke up from her slumber which felt like a long one. Her toes twitched as she sat up while grabbing onto her pillows for support. Her sight was still blurred by the tears in her eyes, so when she turned her head, she could hardly tell if Clarissa was in her bed or not. Then, her clouded sight darted toward the huge doors of her room. Zaramanni rubbed both eyes to get rid of the dimness they were exhibiting, but in the process of doing that, while her eyes stayed trained on the doors, she caught a glimpse of bright blue light from the little gaps of the entrance.Creaking sounds from outside filled the air when Zara's feet touched the cold floor.  Zaramanni got up and felt a weakness in her system. Her eyes trained intently on the doors, and she reached for the bed’s headboard for support. Then, Zara attempted to take

PART TWO: CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR
When Darren came to, he found himself on the cold, aesthetic ground that made his room look majestic. His body had formed into a round ball and he found it somewhat hard to straighten his figure. Once his entire body was now lying straight, the man who had the side of his face staying glued to the floor made an effort to get up. Both of his hands went to work, trying to lift the rest of his body, their palms steadily glued against the ground. But his bones felt feeble and he took a pause. Alpha Darren then recalled the last time he was conscious. He remembered how his beast forced its way out with a certain intent. Frightened by the thought of not knowing the things that happened after they jumped out of the palace, King Darren quickly left his pitiful position. Standing upright, and more alert, he scanned the room he was in. He confirmed that it was indeed his royal room, and was about to take steps towards the huge windows of his room when he noticed a certain colour. T

PART TWO: CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE
“You really don’t remember?” Zara’s voice trailed Lord Elias whose footsteps advanced towards the library faster than hers. “Really?”“I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you sure it wasn’t a dream?” He asked while he pushed the doors open. As he stepped into the magically huge room, he let out a sigh of relief, as though he was extremely glad to be back in the library.Zaramanni paid no attention to how relaxed the man was.Still rushing after the he-wolf, a deep frown etched in the middle of her temple, she said, “I am sure it wasn’t a dream. It really happened.”“Zaramanni,” Lord Elias called, the tone of his voice suggesting that he didn’t believe her. “What do you mean? I was at that council meeting. I would have known if you suddenly appeared in the room. Besides, how would you be able to do that? Except your powers are…” His response which was on the verge of possessing an angry tone halted. Lord Elias began to poke the insides of his mouth with his tongue and he wo
