Chapter 5 - Gael
I’ve just started to get dressed when my wolf begins to go nuts in my head, making my heart feel like it’s going to pound out of its chest. I’m getting ready to welcome a Marine back home. Hakeem Dhib. I remember him from high school. We weren’t friends, but I knew who he was. Always thought he was pretty hot, but I never made a move. I don’t like to shit where I eat, so I didn’t go after any of the wolves in my pack. It’s hard to get them to follow you if they’re pissed that your relationship didn’t go further. So, I left him alone. I can’t tell why my wolf is going insane inside of me. There’s no noise, no scent. Of course, I’m in my suites, which are soundproofed and that makes it difficult to smell other things outside of the room. But when the door to my room is broken down, I sure as hell hear that. I rush out of my room and I’m assaulted with the most delicious scent in the world. I don’t know exactly what the scent is. Something woody and middle eastern. Al

Chapter 6 - Hakeem
I wake up to a dark room, the moonlight shining through the windows. Gael has one arm wrapped around my waist, the other beneath my neck around my chest, pulling me to him. The pleasant sensation of the fated sparks move up and down my body and his scent surrounds me. It had helped lull me to sleep after hours of making love, but the combination of the sparks and his scent are just turning me on now. We have touched each other in every way possible over the past several hours on every surface of his room. At some point, they had replaced the door to Gael’s suite. We had heard the banging as they hurriedly closed the room up, but we didn’t let it disrupt us. If anything, Gael made me scream louder from my pleasure just to make the workers work faster. This male…Goddess, how was I so lucky to be paired with him. Everything about him is sensual and alluring. Plus, he’s so kind and considerate. An extremely skilled and attentive lover. And he contains so much raw power as the

Chapter 7 - Gael
Mi familia (my family) was excited to know that I’d found my mate, but they were very confused over the fact that he’s a male. It’s not like they were upset or anything. It’s just that an alpha has two jobs: 1) protect the pack and 2) ensure that his lineage is carried on. As much as I know that Hakeem is a wonderful mate and I know that he will be an amazing lune, that is one thing he can’t help me do. The fact that our Mother Goddess knew that and still mated us to each other says something. Either, I’m not supposed to be alpha, Hakeem and I won’t be mated for very long, or there is something else going on that we don’t understand. It would hurt me deeply if I wasn’t supposed to be alpha. I have trained my entire life, pinned all of my hopes and dreams on the fact that I will be the alpha of this pack. But I will not give Hakeem up. I know that we’ve only been together for a week and we didn’t really know each other before that, but my wolf and I both know that he was mad

Chapter 8 - Gael
We make sure to put Declan to bed after the Goddess leaves his body. He’s always exhausted after she visits him, needing to sleep it off. We pack up the foods and juices into Declan’s fridge so he has access to them when he wakes up. Another side effect of taking the Goddess in his body. “Come with me to my office for a few minutes. We’ve gotta figure out a game plan,” Papá says. I know that Hakeem and I had planned on heading back to our suite as soon as possible after meeting with Declan. The matebond demands that we come together soon. But we also are spooked by what we were just told. Not spooked by the Goddess’s will. Or the fact that we have another mate out there. No, we’re spooked by the fact that were other packs to find out about us, we would endanger not only our families and our pack, but also our mate that may be too young to care for herself. So we meet with Papá and decide to meet with our families and the leadership tomorrow morning. That way, Declan has

Chapter 9 - Hakeem
Gael’s ascension ceremony is held at the end of the week. I’m also to ascend as his lune. Normally, I would be nervous as hell, but Gael has been teasing me so relentlessly that I can’t even think of the ceremony. Right now, he’s got me pulled into the bathroom outside of the dining hall, his hand down my pants and his seductive words being whispered in my ear. Gael’s behind me, my pants and belt undone as he works his hand over my cock. He’s ordered me to keep my hands on the wall. “Cuando volvamos a la habitación, voy a hacer que te desnudes para mí. Lentamente. Para que pueda apreciar cada músculo duro de tu cuerpo. Incluyendo el que está en mi mano ahora mismo. (When we get back to the room, I'm going to have you strip for me. Slowly. So that I can appreciate every hard muscle of your body. Including the one in my hand right now.).” Here, he sticks his other hand down the back of my pants, beginning to finger my hole, which he had me lube up before we came down her

Chapter 10 - Gael
Hakeem’s leave was able to be extended because of our mating. When two wolves are mated, they go through a mating frenzy, which is why we hadn’t been able to keep our hands off of each other for too long over the past few weeks. It happens once the two wolves mark each other. The frenzy’s purpose is to get the she-wolf pregnant, though that wasn’t an issue for Hakeem and I yet. It was interesting that even though we were a same sex couple, we still went through the frenzy. For typical, unranked wolves, this frenzy will last a week or two. For ranked wolves, on the other hand, the frenzy can last up to a month. Since Hakeem isn’t a ranked wolf, but I am, our frenzy petered out at 3 weeks and a day.I can’t imagine what will happen when we get our she-wolf mate. She won’t be able to walk! So, the Marines gave Hakeem a month off, just to be sure that the frenzy is over before he came back. Though the separation is hard on a newly mated pair, if they had tried to separate us durin

Chapter 11 - Hakeem
With the layover at Reykjavik, Iceland, my flight took 9 hours. Each hour, each mile away from Gael is torture. My wolf howled in my head in pain, missing his mate. And I understand just how he feels. I was so upset that I cried through the first two hours until I finally fell asleep. Thank the Goddess that I had a window seat, so no one saw the constant flow of tears down my cheeks. By the time I landed at Stuttgart Airport, I am as an emotional wreck. My sleep on the plane had been light and constantly interrupted by turbulence, or noise from the passengers, or just the lack of my mate sleeping beside me. If this is how I am not even 12 hours into our separation, how am I going to make it the next three months until Gael comes to visit? Stepping out of the gate, I see Camden waiting for me. I give him a ghost of a smile, but he scoops me up in his arms, spinning me around with how happy he is to see me. “Dude! Where the fuck have you been? You barely responded to tex

Chapter 12 - Hakeem
5 months later… I’m walking into my room after my night shift, looking forward to my call with Gael. Tonight, we’ll be able to video chat on the computer that I set up in my room. We’re finally able to have some private time and see each other. I have five more months left of my enlistment period and this last stretch is going to be the most brutal. I won’t be allowed to go home and because of all of his alpha commitments, Gael won’t be able to come here. So, I got a video camera and hooked it up to the computer in my room. I need to see my mate. Even if I can’t be with him, now I’m able to see and hear him, and, with the benefit of a shirt that he sent to me, I’ll have his scent as well. It’s almost as good…right? Yeah, it isn’t, but it’s better than we’ve had, so I’ll take what I can get. Checking the time, I see that I can grab a quick shower and a snack before we’re scheduled to talk. The serg came in early and in a good mood. He sent me home and I wasn’t asking quest

Chapter 13 - Gael
5 months later… Today is the day. ¡POR FIN! (FINALLY!) Today is the day that Hakeem comes home. Goddess, these last five months have been absolute hell. I have missed him with every fiber of my being. My wolf whines in my head at night and I have to sleep with a pillow wearing his shirt while playing a tape of his voice to get to sleep. I sound like a lovesick pup, but it’s the only way that my wolf will relax enough to sleep. Hakeem has to do the same thing. It’s a bit pathetic. But needs must. I’m standing at the terminal gate with all of Hakeem’s family waiting for him to come walking down the hall. I had wanted to pick him up in California, which is where he had been shipped back to so he could finish his last month of his enlistment stateside, but his parents, Sha-Tira and Rahim, had insisted on seeing him first. I can’t go pissing off the in-laws, so here we are. His plane had just landed and we are waiting for him to get off. His younger brother and sister, Ra

Chapter 14 - Gael
10 months later… “So, what you’re telling me is that despite repeated warning about how much this could hurt our entire pack, how this put not only my life, but both of my mates’ lives at risk, you still thought that it would be a good idea for you to be in contact with your nephew, the former delta of a pack that we don’t have an alliance with? ¿Es eso cierto? (Is that right?)” I’m livid, though my casual tone and demeanor don’t let on. No, I think that the only people that can tell exactly how angry I am are my mate and the members of my leadership. I don’t think that I’ve ever been this upset with a pack member in my entire life. Xavier Frontída, one of the fiercest and most loyal pack members, is standing before me telling me that he defied the order that I set down at the beginning of my alpha rule not to have interactions with other packs. Well, I had thought that he was loyal. Now I find out that he’s been talking about what’s been going on with our pack to his old
