Rona’s POV “Okay girls, you should start to feel your wolf snap into place,” mom explains, as mid-night is here. We are in the den of the Packhouse, and warriors, male and female, are all around. I feel my head snap. Then it’s like a wall falling down. I feel my limbs tense and relax. My head feels full, like something is moving around in there. Then, I feel the urge to roar. So, I do. “Wow,” Kate said, beside me. “This is a strange feeling,” I say, smiling. I look around and smile, but nope, no sparks. Some of the warriors smirk, bow and leave. Some hang around just in case, but frown and leave. I notice a few have come from Mountain Peak; that’s going to be a long ride home. There is a knock on the door, at fifteen after midnight. Dad answers. “I want to see Rona, please,” Ashton is here at the Packhouse. He’ll have a room here, when we graduate. “Of course.
