Chapter 2

The moment he turned away, Frederick decided that he would forget about Priscilla.

Seeing him leave, Priscilla felt a tugging ache in her heart. She shook her head to clear her thoughts.

She was determined to be the best businesswoman in the world, and Frederick would only be a stumbling block on her way to success! If she did not cut ties with him, it would be disadvantageous to her plan!

"Haha! Prissy, the scumbag's finally gone. Let's go for a nice candlelight dinner!"

Seeing that they were now divorced, Wade rubbed his palms together and licked his lips gleefully. He gave Priscilla a good look, all the way from her sexy legs up to her exquisite face.

Priscilla frowned slightly. "I have some matters to deal with tonight. I haven't got time to have dinner with you.

"Didn't you say that you were going to help me deal with the divorce procedures? Here, deliver this card to Frederick for me. There are ten million dollars in here. Also, please call me by my name properly in the future."

Then, Priscilla pushed the card into Wade's hands. She immediately turned and got into her car. Stepping on the accelerator, she sped away without another word.

Looking at the car speeding away, Wade clenched his fists tightly and spat rudely on the ground.

"Pah! Playing hard to get, are we? Someday, I'm going to fucking have my way with you!"

He then stashed the card into his pocket and grinned slyly. "Since the asshole doesn't want it, I'll keep this for him then."

In Danbury Corporation, Theodore Danbury stood in his office, the president's office, as he stared at the sky wide-eyed. He was silent for a long while.

Theodore's daughter, Vivianne, looked at her father, bewildered. A strange firework explosion had appeared in the sky for a brief moment earlier on, and she found her father in his current dazed state.

As president of Danbury Corporation, Theodore had seen many bizarre things happen in his days, but never had he lost his composure as he had at the moment.

"Dad, what's wrong?"

Vivianne's voice brought Theodore back to the present. He gulped dryly and muttered, "The miracle doctor shall appear when the Cloudbreaker is released."

Theodore's mumbles made absolutely no sense to Vivianne at all. She was at a loss.

Theodore swiftly whipped out his phone and made a call. "Mr. York, I saw the Cloudbreaker being released. Do you have any orders? Whatever you need, the entirety of the Danbury family will give all we have to help you!

"What? Your wife requested a divorce with you, and she was the one who released the Cloudbreaker?"

When Theodore angrily ended the call, Vivianne quickly asked, "Dad, what's gotten into you today? Who's this Mr. York? And why are you willing to give everything you have to help him?"

Theodore furiously smashed his phone to the ground. "Mr. York is my savior! Three years ago, when you were still abroad, it was Mr. York who cured me of my terminal illness.

"How ungrateful of the Miller family! Had it not been for Mr. York, why would the Monroe family have any business dealings with them? And how would they have all the success and glory they have today? Now that they've made a fortune, their daughter wants to divorce Mr. York?"

Vivianne was shocked to hear what Theodore said. "No wonder the Monroe family in Stanva City would keep helping out such a small family like the Millers! But now that the Monroe family has helped them for Mr. York's sake, it really is unbelievable that they'd demand a divorce!"

Theodore spoke respectfully of him, "Mr. York had saved the patriarch of the Monroe family, so they respect him a lot. They are loyal to him, as am I.

"I'm afraid nobody in the entire nation has medical skills as superb as Mr. York's."

Vivianne seemed pleasantly surprised to hear that. "That's amazing! We can get Mr. York's help to get us through our issue then! After all, we are only in such a situation because of our collaboration with the Miller family."

Theodore shook his head helplessly. "Mr. York had said three years ago that he would not practice medicine anymore. How could I possibly ask him to go back on his word?

"The Miller family has brought us a great loss, and it is only for Mr. York's sake that I didn't take action against them. Now, I'll handle business the way it should be handled.

"I will announce the termination of our collaboration with the Millers, and have them compensate for the loss."

Vivianne's expression took a turn for the worse when she heard Theodore's words. But in a flash, she turned her attention to his phone, which was on the ground.
